Throughout the year I buy whatever name brand toys I see at DT and store them in big bin(s). Then come Christmas I donate them to whatever toy drive I come across. Even if the toys are small I have volunteered at Christmas events for foster kids in the past and I know they always get to choose 1-2 large toys and a few small ones so the DT donations work out well. This was another great video!

That is awesome! They do get so many brand names items throughout the year so it such a great idea to get and store as the year goes along. Its a shame though how so many of the foster care events have been cancelled this year due to covid. I know they are still getting the gifts to the children but I'm sure they also looked forward to going to the event as well. God Bless!

Very clever. My granddaughter’s boyfriend has two children. You’ve given me a couple of ideas of things to send them. Thank you Rosemary. The end of the year is a busy time for us. Hi Mary and Happy Birthday! YAY! So glad you got some ideas for the kids! Wow! Yes, December is whopper with that many birthdays and anniversaries plus the holidays on top! Hope you are doing well. I know the first holidays let alone anniversaries are really tough. For the copper, I was referring to the COPPA restrictions that had the whole KZfaq community in an uproar last year at this time. There was a lot of miscommunication about FTC regulations and your as much as even mentioning anything child related in your video like cartoons or toys!

The problem with dollar store gift baskets is everything in them is $1 in price and quality. I’d rather spend $10 on one quality toy than 10 cheap pieces of crap that will be broken or forgotten within a day or 2.

Thanks for your feedback but you must not have watched the video since the majority of items I selected to feature in the gift baskets are from name brands like Disney, Nickelodeon, Tonka, Crayola, NBA, Dr. Seuss, Matchbox, and Hot Wheels. There are some items that are not from name brand producers but they are items like beads, playing cards, puzzles, notepads and erasers which typically are the same quality as name brand items. I agree that cheap items are really no value and a waste of money but I strive to find good quality items to create the sets I present and really want to help so many out there that are trying to find ways to give nice, thoughtful gifts with what they have to spend.
