Yeah, I wish they should’ve done part one and two the way in the second part, it reveals that venom is the new antagonist when he recruits carnage at Connors laboratory. While the other half the only antagonist was just a symbiote, manipulating Peter. As far as I can tell, all I know, is that if they have done part two in this version, Sandman and new goblin, what team up with Spider-Man to face venom carnage, and eventually hob goblin. But all that was wasted for nothing.

@@dontneedtoknowmyname5791 that’s if I was the first kid in 2007 explain it all down while I was still at the drive-in theater because the way, Sam Raimi did it he flunked. Let’s just hope in case they do venom 3, Topher Grace will respire his role in case there are unexpected consequences during no way home.

You want to know something I've just realized? this scene was foreshadowed by a line we all have memed to death, I'm sure I don't have to say it for you to know it. It's not just a way to set up Eddie going to church, but Peter as well, after he's realized what he's done, what he's become, he goes to think about it, and what better place than the top of a Cathedral? and it's here where he starts to try to change or "get forgiveness", by ridding himself of the darkness that almost consumed him. If I could I'd change the name of this tract from "Black Spidey Goes to Church" to "You Want Forgiveness? Get Religion."

That's right! I'm from Mexico and I remember watching the movie or the first time (ofc it was dubbed in spanish) so that line "get religion" was translated to "ve a la iglesia" which literally means "go to church". I think it's clever that the people who translated it didn't miss that little hint there

I am disappointed on insomniac they should have added this kind of scene where Peter wearing black suit brutally injured miles alot and then he goes to the church sadly and then harry comes to church for praying for his mom that could been an amazing reference

0:38 - I always think of the church bell as soon as this low note drops. 3:53 - that final bell ring as the symbiote passes from one host to the other, then finally Venom reveals himself as he took over Eddie Brock. This scene was both ominous and incredible. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Where I come from, Eddie's sacrilegious and heretical excuse of a "prayer" is not something that one should be allowed to ask God to do for them. It's a sinful act, and the one thing about this wretched film that I'll never forgive or forget. Yes, this version of Brock may had been all self-obsessed, but his words made him go *TOO* far. And that's one of the things that made me turn my back on this trilogy. Sure, go ahead, you can blast me for my preferences and what I choose to believe all you want, but nothing that you say, think, feel, or do about it can, or will, change it. In this case, I stand by my words no matter what.

That was the whole point, Eddie did go too far. Look at what it got to him. I understand hating this film, but the other two have nothing to do with this one. If you really don't like this film why bother commenting anyways?

Okay, um, that was kinda the point. Also, I think you're just going too far. I was taught not to ask God anything like that, either. Does that ruin my enjoyment of the movie? No, because I understand that that was the entire point. He went too far with his hate for Peter, and look where he is now.

That's the point! Eddie went too far that he literally asked God to kill Peter. Does that ruin the film for me, NOPE! I still love this film, hell it's my favorite Spider-Man film.
