The choice of colors is just right, I'm glad you didn't use white on top like everyone else does, this is the closest to fire I've seen so far. Thank you I love it 👏🏻

@@dcfluidacrylics6633 how did you get the black paint on the other side of your painting because you didn't put black before you put the red paint down.

I am using your pour technique to make a large picture of an autumn tree for my wife on our anniversary in December. She wanted a painting of a colorful tree years ago and wouldn’t let me buy it due to the expense. We went by the gallery where we’d seen the painting in Lake Tahoe and even the gallery was gone. Now she regrets not permitting me to buy it. So, I have been on KZfaq for days researching how to use blood as colorful leaves and your instructions and inspiration have me stoked to do this. Thanks so much.

I can’t swipe to save my life 😂 idk if i press to hard when i swipe but i always and up scraping down to the canvas so white shows and when i swipe multiple times the colors end up mixing. I am using cheap paint and water glue mix for medium. I might have to get some floetrol . I been watching videos and watching people poor masterpieces. I loved my first 2 or 3 paintings i did just basic poors nothing fancy. Trying other techniques now from watching you all. But my paintings are getting worse not better 😆. Yall make it look so easy

I'm so sorry to hear that you're struggling with this technique. If a lot of the paint is coming off the canvas I would try to swipe more softly/lightly - I just let the paint gently catch hold of the plastic that I swipe with - I don't apply any pressure to the swipe. For the best cells and paint colors, my preference is to only swipe once or maximum twice, otherwise the colors start to muddy and the cells generally don't look as nice either. It also might be worth trying some Floetrol - it won't go to waste because lots of other fluid art techniques also use Floetrol. By the way, in the video that I posted today (number 107) I show the consistency of the paint, that might help you see if you're using the right consistency or not. (Craft paints are generally thinner that the paint that I use so they might need to be mixed in different ratios from what I use.) I hope that helps a bit!
