YO the GRAND SYLHET! THIS HOTEL IS LITERALLY ONE ON MY BUCKET LIST! I haven't been out of 100 mile radius of my parents home since I got sick in 2016 😔but when my health finally gets back to normal, and I'm able to travel, this was actually my #1 stop! I'm looking forward to seeing all the adventures around town and beyond so I can get amazing ideas myself!

Luke I haven’t been to my hometown for years now but one thing i can say foods are really good and they have good hygiene when it comes to cooking. I can vouch for sylhet. Also you will find it way calmer than you would in Dhaka or other cities in Bangladesh while enjoying both the city and natural beauty. It’s called second London (lol) and i can agree to some extent being a Londoner lool Have a nice one, Cheers mate

Great video Luke! I'm over in Bangladesh in October. You've inspired me to go and visit and tour Bangladesh which I have never done even though my parents are from there. I'm England born and bred but ethnically Sylheti. If I was there now and you had an extra few days, I would've invited to my home in the village. Just 45mins from the Airport. Spectacular countryside ! Anyway, hope you enjoy Sylhet

Hi Luke, great to see you in Sylhet. I was thinking, if you could just stay a little longer, then you could enjoy the rickshaw ride in Dhaka during the Eid Holidays. You could experience a different vibe as during the Eid Vacation, you would see a New Dhaka with no traffic and crowd. Plus, you could try some amazing dishes during Eid. But, Sylhet is a nice place to experience. The nature, people & foods are lovely there. Enjoy, Brother. :)

Make sure you experience a bit of the village life and visit the Tea Gardens, Sundar Ban (probably get a glimpse of a Bengal Tiger 🐅), and maybe even visit and introduce your viewers, to the hill track tribes and many of the diverse ethnic groups of people, living in Sylhet.

Since I got married, I tend to go Sylhet once a year, typically in February. My house is like 10 mins away from the airport. I remember in 2022, I didn't even realise they were building a hotel there. It was only in February 2022, that I saw Grand Sylhet. Since we have our own place in Sylhet, there is no reason to get a hotel but it is intresting to see what it looks like from the inside. I didn't realise they have a movie. Anyway, I hope you have a good time in sylhet, you realise how different it is in Dhaka, especially traffic.

Luke, road rules in Bangladesh mandate fastening seatbelts for drivers and front passengers. In the rear it’s recommended. The latches of the buckle are concealed under the seat covers in the rear for unexplained reasons. Ride safely.👍🏼

I just experienced my Ramadan in Marrakesh, Morocco 🇲🇦, and I loved it. The Moroccan people are so lovely and kind. Many of them reminded me of Banglai family members, because some look a little Bengali. They thought I was Moroccan lol

Syhlet is a nice tropical place in bangladesh known for scenery has a lot of nature and also most syhleti live in uk has jaflong border with india tea gardens and the city as plenty of western and locol activities and gonna get developed out of the 3rd world countries

Hi Luke Many airlines that fly planes smaller than 3+3 config skip a letter on the 2-seat side, for example if seating is 2+3 the seats will go A C D E F, because B is a middle seat that doesn't exist. Or the difference could be between First and Coach... if coach is 3+3 and First is 2+2, then first gets numbered A C D F because B and E are the middle seats back in coach. Not all airlines do this but some of them like to keep things consistent at least within the same aircraft, so A and F are always window seats, C and D are always aisle.

You should defo visit, Jaflong, Sreemangal Tea gardens, Raturgal Swamp Forest, Bishnakandi, try out the 7 Layer Chai, and try out restaurants like Antalya, Noorjahan and Porshi/Panshi
