This episode gives words and phrase with radicals for parts of our body, and sickness. It also explains the radical of flesh 月 was originally 肉. The making of compound characters 'meaning+sound' and the construction of words with are also explanend with vivid exampls.

I do find that these lessons are very helpful , it is so nice to be able to hear and see the words written along with explanations in English . It wasn't so long ago that as a person doing learning at home from books and tapes that it was not possible to get such explanations . The wonders of the Internet ! Thank you , best wishes from England . PS it is coincidental that I'm studying a lot of these words in my book at the moment !

@@ChinesewithJiayi Thank you , I'm glad you are interested and that you also learnt from books . The series of books are called Elementary Chinese Reader . I'm currently on Book 2 . I Also have three dictionaries and some more advanced books which I'm not up to the level to translate yet .

I do! I know the majority, but I like the fact that I got to review some that I know while sometimes being introduced to new ones. Also, it's really enlightening to heard the meaning behind the radicals!

Another great video from you! Seeing the connections between the words with the radicals makes it so much easier to learn. May I just say: - "ass" is usually considered a bit rude, we would use "bottom", "backside" or "butt" instead. - the arm thing you mentioned is called arm wrestling. ☺️

Wow! Tell you what, I tried to teach myself French last year but gave up very quickly! After English and German my brain is too slow for French (very different)!
