Thanks for this series, I had 2 4 Gen Novas and always wanted to do a factory restore. But everything always got out of hand towards the hi-po end of things and originality went right out the window. 😅

Thats exactly how we did it the Chevy dealer, its fast and it works and only requires 1 revelution.....It doesn`t do well on performance hydraulic lumpy idle or solid cams

Great Video, thank you for sharing, I am curious however why do you opt for half a turn after 0 lash, my service manual states to go 1 full turn after 0 lash and another very common one is 3/4 turn after 0 lash is found, it seems to be quite the debate, how often do you like to adjust the valves on a stock 350? I will be doing the lash adjustment on my new to me 99 tahoe after a long list of other things and absolutely love the obs chevy Regards

That one is a snap-on. I don’t have a lot of their tools,but I love their ratchets.

Hi I'm going to be doing mine on Monday but I was wondering does the engine have to be on the compression stroke ?

@@AlexMaya-f3f I believe it’s the best way for an accurate adjustment. So I’d say yes.
