350 Pacific: "We are not drowning -- we are fighting!"

On March 2nd, 2013, warriors across 14 Pacific island nations answered a call, brought on by the threat of climate change. The warrior spirit of the Pacific Islands rose to show the world "We are not drowning. We are fighting." The Warrior Spirit of the Pacific Islands has now awoken to fight climate change.
We're not giving up. We're going to fight for what is ours - our island homes and cultures.

It is absolutely time for us all to stand up and stand strong and to fight with our brothers and sisters all around the world to fight climate change and all the wrongs that we have done to mother earth.

It's here already. It will get worse before it gets better but it will only get better if everyone around the world can make enough changes.

In Canada, i think people could learn a lot from how people from these nations are responding to climate change. However, i notice a strong similarity to the Canadian-Indigenous movement Idle No More. It seems nations still strongly linked to more earth-based social structures are responding most positively and with a lot of awareness and courage.
