whiteazn 2 the HR wouldn't stand a chance against any 1996-2001 cobra lol. and its easier to make power with out forced induction on the 4.6 than it is on any 350z engine. i'm not saying the 3.5 is bad but even a 2 valve new edge GT with ported heads, cams, headers, full exhaust and tune can smoke the hell out a 350Z HR Nismo ;)

The shifter is a little farther to reach than most but it's not too bad!

dick van niggz my touring put outs 4.6 flat for a Z thats not bad . idk its messed up when i bought it i think the ecus tuned . but yea auto or not it does. but anything boosted im sure ill get smoked. Z arent the greatest but its alright

I actually drive a real manual so im not the expert on autos by any means. but also that wouldn't have made a night and day difference, the GT is pretty damn fast haha!

Nahh, that way the car doesn't waste time to downshift, why wouldn't you use select shift? Either way this Z got beat hands down by a pretty much stock GT, considering the s197 was meant to compete directly with the Z, that's pretty embarrassing.

+Casey Young 290 through an auto is like 220 at the wheels. 260 through a manual like the stang is about the same, 220. weight is within almost 50 lbs so it is not much of a factor in this race. the only difference in this race was torque (the mustang produces 300 over the 350's 275) and in the second race tuning was a key factor. idk what's not to "buy". we raced, these are the results proven by multiple races lol we "live, eat, and breathe cars" too pal.

It's not a surprise lol the z is automatic and close to stock & the mustang has a few bolt ons and a tune so yeah it's not a surprise

The Mustang has more torque, which you need in a drag race. That's also why is spins more, the weight isn't actually far off. I know because I've raced mine and compared cars with my buddy and he drives an 05 Z.

my 330ci performance wise has 3.38 diff (from 2.93) and short shifter. my friend has an 02 gt with intake, he keeps up but i take him low or top end, and a Z is definitely way faster than my car, that's why im saying it should have a gt by lengths obviously since it would take my e46
