ok thank god. thought i bought mine with a knock in the engine. they all sound like a pile of cats are getting boiled

It was 48 degrees F outside when I took the video. Is it just a puff of black smoke when you throttle down to idle? If so, I don't think it's anything to worry about. The fuel/air ratio needs to adjust and what you are seeing is diesel particles that would normally be burnt as fuel.

what was the ambient temp? My 355 just let's out one puff of black smoke then its idling.
