357 magnum revolver vs rifle Chronograph (Take 2)

Today I test some Remington UMC 125 grain and Federal American Eagle 158 grain 357 magnum ammunition out of both a Ruger New Model Blackhawk with a 6.5-inch barrel and a Rossi R92 carbine with the 16 inch barrel. We measure the speeds with a chronograph out at 12 yards.

.357 Magnum is magic. I have a Henry Big Boy Steel and a New Vaquero in .357 and they are always my first general purpose choice for desert camping situations and target shooting.

357 magnum PCC's are some of my favorite guns. The hot stuff like Buffalo Bore and Underwood can match 7.62x39mm ballistics from an 18" barrel. Great video bro.

Buffalo Bore Underwood and double tap all make some really hot 357 loads that are worth trying out. Double tap is been having a 20% off sale for the last couple months

I’m getting over 2000 fps with most 125 grain ammo. Great for coyotes.

@@texmexshoots Maybe he got a lemon.. I recently bought a gently used R92, very consistent accuracy, and now there's a couple of hundred rounds down the pipe it's running nicely. It'll never be as smooth as my prized 1894C but this Rossi is really something special in the way it handles. It loves moderate 158gr powder coated cast loads and Longshot powder, what a hoot! @@RS-dc7wy The 1894C is a coveted firearm. The perfect rifle for 357/44 magnum. I grew up shooting my father's Browning 94 in 357 and took many critters with it. Sadly the rifle was stolen on one of his hunts. Those are pretty rare as well and the few I found were too pricey for me. The Rossi filled that void. It isn't as refined but it's still very nice. Plus I don't mind using and abusing it in the field. Thanks for the kind words and Howdy from Texas.!
