Yesterday on the 24th of December I decided to explore the Takveri (Zubi) Fortress. The nocturnal flakes of snow over the past week have turned the surrounding areas into a snowy fairy tale. It was really a beautiful and haunting sight to see.
Throughout centuries Takveri Fortress continuously served as a place for consolidation of Lechkhumi nobility, men in arms and a shelter during wars and invasion. The castle is built upon a huge rock. On the lower levels of castle there's a hidden water reservoir, but I haven't found it yet.
