Thanks for making the video. Helped me open up mine to repair a damaged lens. If anyone is planning on opening up theirs, don’t fully remove the 4 screws on the back. Leave them protruding slightly when you unscrew them. You can use them to help push the camera out of the housing. Put the whole thing on a firm bench with the camera pointing the ceiling, then push the housing firmly down against the 4 screws on the bench. The camera should start popping out. That way you won’t damage the front black plastic!

I picked up that same exact camera pack.. I also got the rubber protection sleeves that go around them. I picked up the flood light (hard wired) for my garage and that thing is amazing also it’s super bright and they’ve all worked flawlessly. I have them set for better surveillance rather than battery life. Even with that setting they still last 3-4 months before I have to charge them. Great video!!

My house closes on the 29th of April and I was looking for a system to use...def going to check this out. What I like with the magnets, is since I use a wheelchair, I can have a mount installed and use a long claw to get it down for charging...and put it back myself. Def a system that allows me to be more self-sufficient. Love magnets!

I tried this model in my house and I recommend older base station (wider model) instead. It has a significant louder alarm and a build in battery in case the power drops.

I have the original EufyCam, and it really is a good system. I have one mounted above the front door, and one above the garage. Installed September of 2019, and I've only had to recharge the garage cam once, because of more activity. If you install the cam near a light source, you dont have to use night mode.

I've got the doorbell, and 3 x 2k indoor cameras, and a 2k pan tilt. They are really great. I prefer usb powered over wireless though, because it's mostly indoors, but the outdoors wireless sound like a great idea too.

I installed these on my vacation home in May. Front door camera is 75% charged, films about twice a week. Rear pool camera is still 100% charged, films only when someone is 6' of sliders. I'm very happy and have purchased 3 more indoor cameras for my other home.

Hey everyone, I bought the eufy cam E series 2 years ago and it's been great. The only issue is that when I went to add on I was told that they do not produce the "E" series any longer. So I would need to purchase another home base and the amount of additional cameras I wanted. Something to look into before buying this brand. Not sure if all brands are like this, but it's worth mentioning.

Zack, you should also take a look at wireless-battery-solar-powered Reolink Security Cameras. I was previously doing a bunch of research on security cameras and was conflicted among Argus, Eufy, and Reolink; the problem with most of these cameras is that they REQUIRE your internet to be online the entire time, so all a potential trepasser has to do is cut off your internet via wire cutting or disrupting and you will lose access to your security. Reolink appears to be the only one that doesn't have this security flaw that can be exploited of requiring an internet access to still continue recording, and still no subscription whatsoeer on top o zero maintenance with the solar panel.

I have these cameras ... LOVE THEM! Good old eufy / anker, u really do buy quality products with these guys. So easy to put up, n they charge in 3 / 4 hours, just make sure u turn the burglary alarm off BEFORE you move them. Scared the pants off me! Don’t last 365 but in high traffic areas. Really good!! Hope the doorbell is compatible with the old base... off to spend more money on eufy!

I have the blink XT2 camera system, you should do a review/tear down on it and are a lot less expensive. They run on 2 AA batteries which makes getting the camera back up and running a lot better option, no need for charging or an additional solar panel. They are also rated to last 2 years. i have already had mine set up for over 8 months and they still have the original AA's they came with!

I've had my eufycam 2's set up for about a year now. For the one cam the faced toward the street where somewhat frequent people and car traffic cam around our cul-de-sac, I'm seeing about 2-3 months of battery life. For the cams that watch the driveway and doors, where semi-frequent traffic (cars pulling into the driveway, people walking in and out of the house), I'm seeing about 6 months. NOTHING near the claim of 1 year. Just be advised.

I have the EufyCam 2c, which claims 180 day battery life, but I think the longest I got was about 2 months after customizing my settings. And I'm fine with that.

@@HousewerkRecords Honestly, I lost my job like literally a week or two after this video, and security cameras became less of a priority for me, so I hadn't been keeping up. A quick google of what's been happening reveals basically exactly the type of thing I was worried about with software security. I'd want to monitor their supposed improvements and fixes before I'd want to invest again. It still looks largely promising, with some important security concerns to address first (or rather, monitor the way they addressed it to see if the fix is really there).
