Recently, I have been through a 365-day journey in the rainforest of Vietnam. Using only natural things and primitive skills, I have to create shelter, find food and drinking water for survival. My goal is not simply to survive for 365 days, I also have to create conditions for long-term survival in the forest.
Thank you very much for your value time to Watch,Like,Comment,Share and Subscribe our videos on Primitive Technology Idea Channel, and we will try all our best to find more idea as try to Create more videos to make your assist and more facilities.

Basically this man built a farm, home, aquarium with bulk water storage tank, several kilns, pottery, fencing, tile and utili-tile... out of a rock and a coconut.... This man can teach the govt a LOT about not overspending. Now he has eggs, potatoes, fresh fish, shellfish, chicken and clean fresh water. Not to mention daily projects to keep himself entertained. He must spend a good amount of time cleaning those utensils. He doesn't need iPhone to keep busy. This is how people were meant to live.

That's why everyone uses the same techniques because there is no better way to do something that humans have perfected for generations. Look at any channel that does tribal/primitive tech survival and you will find that everyone does the same thing :/

@@teeess9551 This comment makes no sense. You can't steal techniques on how to do something. If I have a channel where I teach people how to write the alphabet, the next person who teaches how to write the alphabet will do pretty much the same thing...and so will everyone else. Showing me how to fix my Windows PC will be the same also, for the most part. How can I teach someone the ways to change my icon sizes on Windows without doing it the same way everyone else does it? Plus this IS the Primitive Technology Channel. Did he steal from himself?

I don’t admire him to be honest. He stole not only ideas but the exact captions from primitive technology. Yes he is free to replicate that persons ideas but not steal his words and give no credit. He stole his name, his idea, his own words. I do not admire this. When he starts making the axe and his hut, watch that part (up til like 17-18 min ish) and then watch primitive technology’s og video of him making his tiled hut and turn caption on. You be the judge.

@@careyholness840 notice how that is totally irrelevant and I never said I was unimpressed. Watch the first 20 minutes of this video, and then watch Primitive Technology’s video where he makes a tiled roof house. In primitive technology’s video he makes the tiles and puts them under a wood shed to keep out of rain, and says this in his captions. This guy in his captions says the same thing verbatim, but doesn’t actually put them in a wood shed… he’s ripping someone else’s work. That is my problem. It is not that I’m not impressed. It’s clearly hard work, but it’s not original work. It’s him copying to the highest extent you can. He could’ve done this and said “I used primitive technology’s captions for better English” and given some credit and this would all be understood. But he just stole it.

Someone else mentioned that “all the channels like this need to get together and make a village” but the more I think about it, the more I like the idea. There’s channels like this, that show the technical side and explain everything with captions, there are the channels that use nothing but a tool per person, baskets and pots to either carve or construct elaborate structures. If they could all get a cohesive design theme and work efficiently(not in the sense of fast, in the sense that they use eachothers leftover materials and use certain materials at the same time instead of wasting energy on small batches) there’d be something great. Combine all the words you always find in their channel names and video titles to make the ultimate real life survival multiplayer: Primitive Technology Survival Construction Idea

I feel like as a ceramic artist, this vid is even better somehow for me. I don't think most people understand that while it looks like he's just slapping mud together into pots and cooking it, everything can potentially crack and break before its done, or after. Even his pinch pot skills are beautiful. His pots and dishes are actually wonderful for just going by eye, out in the woods, on a rock for a table. Only difference in how I'd make pots is putting big broad leaves between the pot and the rock, not just ash, because the big problem with big clay projects on smooth surfaces is that even when dry, they can stick terribly, and any minor twist or flex in moving them can crack and shatter them. I'm actually very curious how one of his big pots broke later, that he ended up using for pans.

because that pot is likely a commercial product bought by the production crew somewhere else. Look at the color scheme of the broken pot and notice how it is different from the roofing tiles although they're supposed to be made from the same clay source with similar method and heat level. This guy's ingenuity is amazing. Watching him survive and build a home/farm, when he started out with nothing, was fascinating. It really made me think about how we live today in comparison. Most of us live in towns and cities and are totally reliant on the system that has been built for us. Now we see that this system is failing many people to the point where they can't afford to heat their homes and are dependent on food banks so they can eat. All our technology and complex infrastructure seems to be nothing more than an illusion of security. We see so many homeless people huddled in doorways. Isn't it crazy to think that you could live in a modern major city and still have LESS than the man in this video? This guy, to me, is a symbol of hope. He shows how it's possible to live a fairly decent, self-reliant life, albeit a basic one, when we rely solely on ourselves and the natural resources this planet provides. If only our governments would do things right, instead of engaging in destruction and pollution on such a massive scale, it literally threatens our own existence,...and all in the name of profit. That's both depressing and sickening. I wish we could all be a lot more like the man in this video.

All of us are directly related to people who lived like that. I felt a sense of pride in our ancestors and being a human. And recognizing how amazingly magnificent creation is. Everything we need is right here, on this planet. Everything originated from inside stars. Damn. You couldn't make it up.

It's fun to see of course. but I am from small village in Indonesia. I lived close enough with this kind of environment. What you don't see from this video is how difficult weather in rainforest could be. and what kind or wild animals such as snake and wild boar that would change your mind immediately.
