I had the same situation way back in 1997 in an arranged marriage. Guess what I am so lucky to have supportive family n equally supportive to be hubby n his family... I went to USA for my first onsite assignment. The marriage date was cancelled n new date was decided once I completed my assignment and returned to India.

If Anirudh was in the same situation, he would have just chucked her out of his life and go to Australia for his career.

I'm in similar situation currently. I'm 31 years and finally my parents have selected a guy whom even I like and vice versa. Till now my schedule is very busy with my job in an MNC + my own pharmaclinic as part time. So I'm busy from 9 am to 11:30pm including weekends. I want to expand my small Pharmaclinic (my dream) in future but the guy and my parents are suggesting me to close it for atleast 2 years and concentrate on my married life because even thats part of life and important. They are asking me to continue with job in MNC because that will have holidays on weekends and won't have that much responsibility like my own business. I have good number of patients/ customers currently and shutting it for 2 years can be risky. I am confused to choose family or my dream currently. However, he is convincing me by saying that he will support me in achieving my dreams in future but now we should spend more time together.

The same was happened with my sister, my jij supported her , they guys got engaged and den she flew away for Chicago, after an year she came back, got married to same man. After some months my jij joined her back in Chicago, he used his savings and they both together lived the days, and now with god grace both are well settled and owing things together.
