I’ve got the green and I think blue enamel looks better than green enamel. The green is a bit murky in some light. It’s still nice though. The gilt really lifts it.

If the lug width is really 19mm, it's really not a problem. You can take a 20mm leather or cloth strap and just squeeze it in there; it's only one-half mm on each side. I also used a razor knife and carefully sliced one-half mm off each side of the strap for a perfect fit.

I think 36mm looks fine for your wrist as this uses a Rolex Explorer style case and not a Black Bay case, and Explorer cases are generally worn a bit smaller due to the elongated lugs.

I think the size is perfect. A 39 really is not that of a need since this SN021 wears bigger than your normal 36/37mm watch. The dial on these are actually 30mm in diameter! Normally one would expect 27-28,5mm dials (for example in a 36mm Rolex Oystercase) + the lug-to-lug of 46mm really streches this watch on your wrist too. The Addiesdive AD2113 is actually a 39mm and I think the proportions aren't that great on those.

I own a genuine BB36, and other than the better movement and better clasp there isn't much in it. I know there are people that may argue with this.

I recently purchased this watch, and the color looks almost black rather than dark blue or navy. maybe most people would recognize it as black when they first see it.

I also bought this watch 2 months ago to become my daily and I agree, it is more on the dark side but its ok ! I am especially impressed by the movemement accuracy, at 1 sec/day , it beats my datejust 3205 !

Thanks for the great look at this piece. Ordered one with sw200 mvmt. Lots of comments on how dark the blue is. I actually LOVE the idea. It gets to play both colors blue and black very well. I was always taught not to wear brown shoes with a black suit but for watch dials and straps people seem look the other way. In this case a brown or natural colored straps with melt better with the dial color but will also pair well with black straps too. I believe the piece i have coming is the 20mm lug model and think its going to be a real strap monster. Havent been this excited for a chinese homage i think EVER. Great video. Watched numerous times before pulling the trigger.

I bought one too, and it's the most beautiful dial yet. The logo in reality is not at all as intrusive as it looks in the video.

I got this 36mm Dark Blue and the SN020-G4 Sunray Blue (which is the 39m you are looking for but with mercedes hands inspired from rolex). These two models are the best San Martin has to offer.

Just received my blue dial version. I purchased it to get a feel for whether the size and dial felt right before I consider the bb36 black dial. I am so impressed. The question will be will this seal the deal for the bb36 or will it now become no longer required. What I don’t like is that it continues winding when screwing down the crown. I assume the Selita 200 removes that issue? but for £199 all in I will live with it.

in my case, it definitely scratched the itch for the BB36. I’m sorry to hear about the crown, mine doesn’t do that - maybe you could reach out to San Martin about that?

Im a huge fan of Black and Gilt dials, but I already own the BB58 that’s why I went for the blue one. It’s really personal preference. I think the dark blue is the best one out of all the color options available.

I bought the green and gilt version just before this one was available. I think you can’t really go wrong with any of the options with this version 3. The enamel green is gorgeous and plays with the light really nicely. If you haven’t already bought one, consider this a reminder that you can still get it for the 11/11 sale at immense discounts. ;)

I've just bought this watch SN021-G-B3 with a black dial and silver hands and indices. I haven't come across any more only with gilt hands and indices.

This watch is truly wonderful! Very nice finishings. They could improve it though to me. The clasp is a bit too big for the case and it should be polished in its sides to match the case and bracelet. Otherwise it's perfect! The dial is awesome!

39mm and around 47-48mm lug to lug is the best for my size wrist @ 7.5 inches. Especially dress watches. Divers I can go to 41mm.

Got mine(dark blue) in today and the lugs are 20mm 🙂 I'm very happy with this 👍👍 seems that there are different versions 🤷 checked it with supplier and the 20mm lugs is the newest version

what the heck.. i hope this is not true. The 19mm was aesthetically so good... Got the black gilt one and hope my dark blue which should arrive in a week got the 19mm lugs too tbh. They had a case with 20mm lugs for the SN021 Explorer Homage with applied indices and changed to the 19mm case which we also got with the BB36 Homage, so it would be really suprising of they've changed it again.

Yes they changed it again to 20mm, maybe you will get still a 19mm version, I have both now and like the 20mm better 👍

@@maxfaberg128 The bracelet measures exactly 20mm, the total (external) lugwidth is just slightly wider 24,30mm then the 19mm version with 24,00mm. So the lugs themselves are slightly slimmer on the new 20mm version. I like the 20mm more because the taper is nicer from 20 to 16 and it looks a little more masculin 😅 The lug to lug measures exactly the same 45,75mm 👍 So lugs are thinner but not shorter 👍👍Brushing, fit and finish are also exactly the same

Not sure if you are aware but the SN020-G is essentially the same exact case and bracelet, but w/ mercedes style hands and in 39mm case diameter. Come to think of it....the SN020-G has the Epson YN55 in it. Not sure if they make this model w/ a high-beat caliber or not, but may be worth investigating. Cheers....

Watch looks amazing and big fan of the SM bracelets but a watch like this is also potentially a strap monster and 19mm really killed that option (thanks for pointing it out). Looks so close to absolute perfection otherwise.

19 mm straps are widely available. Besides I think the 19 mm lug with is balancing the watch out, the 20 mm on the previous version did look a bit unharmonious. This version looks like all the proportions are just right.

@@gubro They are widely available (though options will be more limited), it also requires investing in more straps specifically for the watch unless one already has a colleciton of 19mm. I'd imagine most people already have a little stash of 20mm straps.

I've got the green dial with 19mm lugs and have had no problems fitting 20mm leather straps to it at all, looks great.

I recently bought a San Martin from the official website and I noticed a few things about it. It's about the SN021-g b2 in black. According to the manufacturer, the bandwidth should be 20mm, but it is 19mm and no its not with the printed logo. I also noticed that the manual winding does not work smoothly. As soon as you set the time and I push in a notch, the minute hand shifts quite a bit and there is also a strong resistance that doesn't make it easy to push in. It's not my first automatic watch and I've never had this problem with any of my others. I still have 2 years of warranty. I have written to San Martin several times but nothing has come from their side and their phone number does not exist. Who should I contact and how can I to fix the problem? I assume this is your first PT5000. Don't worry it will break in nicely just dont wind more than 15 times (manufacturer's advice). What I dont understand is the the lug width. I messaged SM asking if its a 20 or a 19 just 2 days ago and they replied that its a 20. I want the green one but I just have to make sure. How long have u had your watch?

@@jimron9008 Hello! On the San Martin website they change it from 20 to 19mm. I sent them a video with the problem and they said, that with the crown is something wrong. They want to send me a new crown and I have to fix it with my local watchmaker and I have to pay them 80€ what is not nice because I have a 3 year warranty! Or I‘m gonna send it so SM but funnily enough they only said to Senf it back without a Confirmation Paper. I‘m afraid if they dont give it me back

@@doncarlas4928 I'm sorry to hear that. I think u should use your warranty and demand from them to resolve your problem. Paying extra to fix it elsewhere is not acceptable imo, not only for the money but also because u will lose your warranty without being sure that the local watchmaker can fix it. Best of luck!

I have a San Martin watch that looks exactly like this one, including the almost black enamel blue dial, but I think I paid about US$150 for it. It's very nice but I absolutely would never have paid $330 for it. San Martin models and prices can be very confusing.

that's true - I noticed that as well. Usually their newer Models are higher priced. As soon as the watch is a bit older, you can expect some decent discounts on it.

maybe the movement of yours is the Seiko movement compared to ETA clone and Sellita movement that cost more.

Both the sellita 200 and the pt 5000 are clones of the ETA my friends, they look exactly the same, you can even use parts from a PT 5000 on a old ETA or sellita and viceversa, that gritty sound on the pt 5000 Is normal as the sellita and ETA also are a bit like that, but if you're worried take the watch to a watchmaker and make him oil the movement usually that solves the problem 😊

I had no issues with mine so far. They run very well and are also very accurate. But it can feel a bit “gritty” when handwinding the watch, that’s true. It doesn’t bother me though.

Nice looking watch...just way too small for my very large wrist. When you're 6'6"....1.98 meters, and have a 23 cm wrist....45 mm is the smallest watch I wear. Mainly I wear a 47 mm watch. If these guys make a 45 mm dress watch, I would consider it, especially with a really nice sun burst Blue dial.

On watchdives they have it. On Aliexpress you have to leave a message with the shop that you want a dark blue dial. It did that and it worked well.

The blue is definitly not black but it is the darkest blue you can find 😂 so it looks black most of the time..

Depends on the Wrist size of course. Personally, I would't go over 38-39mm.

@@quality_times my wrist size is 6 inch. Which means even 38 mm looks like a modern oversized watch (which is ok for divers) but for a dress watch 34-37 mm is perfect with lug to lug smallest it can be.

This watch is pain to see. It's really lovely but it's basically a cheap version of the Tudor BB 36, a grail watch that it's attainable enough if I keep saving, and I refuse to "repeat" design.

Glad you can afford a Tudor, nevertheless, not everyone can buy one of those, even if they save for months. Fortunately, nowadays there are alternatives for almost every expensive watch. 👍

I know english might not be ur first language but let me help you with google's definition made in exact imitation of something valuable or important with the intention to deceive or defraud. These are chinese rep watches, not homages. Why get 3 5000 dollar watches, when you can have one tudor and the rest of the colors in homages. That's the smart thing to do, but I guess people that just look at watches instead of buying them wouldn't get the financial aspect of how expensive it is. Even 2 entry level watches like a longines and a ball would be a FHA down payment for most

Competition is good. It shows the Swiss how overpriced they are. Plus this fuses several design elements together. It makes no claims to be anything but a San Martin, which I wear with pride.

Using the explorer case with the tudor hands/ dial is a perfect combination ! I also have a datejust and the quality of the case is on par !
