37 years later, Philadelphia releases remains of 2 MOVE bombing victims to family

Thirty-seven years after the deadly MOVE bombing in West Philadelphia, the remains of two girls were turned over to their brother, Lionell Dotson, by the city's Medical Examiner's Office.
Both girls were inside when police dropped a bomb on the MOVE house on May 13, 1985. In total, 11 people were killed. The girls were 14 and 12.

The police fired, 10 thousand rounds at that house, dropped a bomb on it killed11 people let’s the fire burn down a block of row houses, then held the children remains over30 years. Unbelievable.

Prayers for this family. From what I learned about that bombing, a cover up and desecration of victim remains is not surprising. It is just undeniably horrific that those responsible denied this family proper burial for so many years. Shame on them!!

He deserves more than a public apology. His sisters( and everyone who lost their life that day) deserve an I cestigation and complete accounting of their remains. I believe they've done this with a lot remains and just never got caught. All the remains being used/kept need to be DNA tested and the families need to be notified. It should've been their choice to donate remains to science. These people remains were stolen or sold off. Absolutley no justice has been served.
