Day crabs should have pipes wrapped around back corners of the cab looks way cleaner
@McDonaldChromeShop

everyone has their own opinion, i personally think putting the pipes behind the cab loos dumb. but thats why i dont drive your truck and you wouldnt drive mine. opinions are like assholes everyones got one right or wrong it s to each their own.

@McDonaldChromeShop 3 жыл бұрын
@@Buckinroper not real thick i couldnt tell you a measurment off the top of my head. but if your looking to do something like this i would look into talladega fiberglass we have their floor on our web site and its much easier to work with and its way cheaper to buy. we use it now instead of the aluminum now

The floor looks great but isn't it going to scratch like hell? It crossed my mind to use a floor epoxy but don't know if it would stick to the aluminum
@McDonaldChromeShop
@McDonaldChromeShop 5 жыл бұрын
fair point. to be honest its the first aluminum floor we have done. so we will see how it holds up. the plan was to powder coat the floor but we were told it holds up well with regular paint, so we will see on this one

@@AnthonyGman everyone forgets about tear down prep and reassemble. its usually a 2 week process so start figuring hours. visors, mirrors, steps, tanks, wheels, bunk and cab panels, fixing any body flaws, cab lights, breathers, the list goes on. all have to be removed then prep sanding or soda blasting, then more body work, primer, paint usually 2-3 coats depending on paint, then depends on if they have a certain design they want or one color, the single color is less work but some old school designs take more time, then we leave in the building with the radiant heat cranked up to help it cure the paint. then start to reassemble everything that was taken off, but keep in mind these trucks have been on the road for years and many bolts break during removal so we have to get those bots out that all takes time. reassembly is the longest part since you have to be carful to not scratch the paint that you just have done, also forgot to mention many need to be wet sanded after paint. their are so many things that take so much time. when putting truck back together it also takes 2 people often to but the truck back together so you dont have issues damaging the work you just did. some can be less than $25000 but thats usually the high. all depends on what king of job you want done. anyone can do a shitty paint job for cheap take a look at our instagram and see some of our other jobs we have painted.
