Actually gargoyles are supposed to protect from evil, the gargoyle could have sensed something targeting him and watched over his house that night. Instead of being evil the gargoyle could have been his savior.

Technically speaking it's only a real gargoyle if it is a decorative water spout or storm drain. What story 1 is describing is called a grotesque. They are supposed to keep evil spirits and demons out of a building. Evil things see them and think, "there is already a demon there, I should find another house to haunt"

my son when on evening shift, said to me there are some odd looking people out at night, usually around garages and stores, meaning druggies and homeless, or just very mentally ill. thankfully he is a big guy and well able to look after himself. But had no idea how many disturbing people are around at night and so brazen

This is awesome!!! Its summerween for us and summer break. Its feeling alot like Halloween lately and we always start now to celebrate and watch all the Halloween movies and shows. That's too much for only 1 day. These stories were good and scary thank you!

So I'm from upstate NY. We often go to Slyvan Beach. I remember the fire that happened years ago out there not to far from the small amusement park. I know exactly where the o.p is talking about. Everytime my friends and I would walk by the lot during the day we would get nervous and feel like we were being watched. At night was so much worse. We could feel evil coming out of that area. Almost like it was incasing us. We would here foot steps. In one night on my birthday (devil's night 10/30) there was about 6 of us. Out of know where there was a blood curdling scream and something started chasing us. We could hear the footsteps and the ground vibrated with every foot fall we heard. I haven't been back to the area since. My friends and I use to really enjoy the few small rides and games. Would spend hours in the arcade and eventually watch the sunset on the beach. Just memories now. I'll never go back!!!

Gargoyles are good creatures the fight against evil or harmful spirits,so if you ever see a Gargoyle show up in front of your house,lol do not trow it away or brake it all it means he is there to protect you from evil or a harmful spirit

This video made me realize how much better the sound quality has gotten. It still feels like you're speaking too far away from the mic at times, but it was really bad for the guest speaking stories. I had to turn the volume uncomfortably high to hear what they were saying.

I remember the scary clown trend in 2016. My school made it to where kids couldn't dress up as clowns because of it. That was a trend that I always wanted to take part in, but never went through with it, because I was afraid of how people might react to that sort of prank.

I love Halloween 🎃 last year 20/20 was going to be my 2&3year old grandson and granddaughter first halloween going out, but sadly due to the coronavirus, it was not safe for them to go out, so me and the hubby took them out to eat and watch some children halloween cartoons it turnt out that they really enjoyed the cartoons and they played until they fell asleep. Hopefully they will get the chance to go out treat n treating, if allowed.

This isn't a scary Halloween story but, it is true, and in a way strange. My little sister and I had moved to a new town back in the early 70's. We were able to go on our own, and I decided we were going to knock on every house we could until our curfew. Going street by street we hit every house. We just finished one more street and headed off the porch to the edge of the road. I looked down the road we came from, looked up the next road to where the closest house was, then I turned part way around at the house we just came from, and saw another house. My sister had taken a couple of steps down the next road. I said "What about that house?". She stops and asks what house. I pointed to it, and we headed to the door. "Trick or treat." we said to the elderly couple in the doorway. "Oh my," she said surprised "You are the first trick or treaters we have had since we first moved here. " we promised we would come back next year too, and there was a small group of people that had just hit the previous house, and headed to this invisible house as well.

I got a strange one for everyone: I live in London, UK for context. On Friday night I went to a local field that has a small woods attached to it. I like to walk in the evenings to clear my mind and on Friday it happened to be drizzling rain, so when I got into the woods I stood under a tree for about 5 minutes. Shortly after I heard twigs snapping around me and after adjusting my eyes to the treeline, I could see multiple people treading carefully through the trees. Being in the middle of London I thought it was a local gang who followed me. As they got a bit closer my adrenaline's going crazy but I know if I run deeper into the woods I'll be hiding for hours, so I decide to just stand still and light up a smoke knowing I'm likely about to be robbed if not worse... Here's where it gets weird - as they approached me I could tell they were not talking to each other and they all had black robes with hoods. Some were carrying small objects and a couple had backpacks on. They were maybe 10m away from me just slowly marching through the trees deeper into the woods. I stood there for another minute or so, cursing at myself and trying to work out what's going on - Are they satanists about to do a ritual? Are they just going to have a Halloween party in the woods? If it were a party I think they would be talking to each other at least. Anyway, I decided I don't want to be a sacrifice so I started making my way out of the woods, but as I started to walk, I noticed another smaller group coming in the same direction so I stood behind a tree and waited for them to pass before getting out. I don't know what or who they were, but the weirdest part for me is up to 20 people walking in silence through the woods with no flashlights or anything. Don't forget this was in London, not some farm town in the countryside. Anyone know what was going on?
