Looks great! - I would definitely recommend trying out some liquid latex instead of toothpaste tho as it is just as cheap, but will dry in less than a few minutes and you can peel it off with your fingers as soon as the paint is touch dry

Great work guys, I never seen someone use cinnamon for rust, but it looks pretty good! And with the toothpaste, there is a (I think it’s called) masking gel, that does the same thing but it’s a little more sticky. Anyways great projects I’ve been real excited for this one, and I am excited for future projects as well!

Damnn this is awesome! I was curious do you know what the best glue is for PLA prints? I am printing a boba fett mask right now but in multiple pieces. Im def going to try this paint technique!
@make4322 жыл бұрын
We usually use CA glue a.k.a. superglue but we might start using some other gluing methods in the future!
@carlosguijon80532 жыл бұрын
I use an epoxic glue. It almost welds pieces together. Used it in Mando and Bobas helmet since I printed the helmets in 4 pieces
@RayshellChill2 жыл бұрын
Okay , I’m at a stand still for what top coat to use. I’m doing the weathered Boba Fett with the Rubies helmet. I don’t know what to use. I used a Matt on my blaster redo. A Rubies also. Came out great. And the Matt I bought was horrible and I had to redo the whole blaster. Did not bother with a top coat second time around for fear of that happening again . I bought a different Matt. The one you used, but I’m hesitant to use it. Your final answer? Thanks

When you sand and put on new primer. You are not talking about spray putty / spray filler? You are talking about actual primer?
@make4323 жыл бұрын
Great question! We actually just use Rust-Oleum Automotive Primer - amzn.to/3b8RWZd We try to keep most of our supplies Hardware Store friendly and this filler/primer does a great job at filling in layer lines and is such a breeze to sand!
@sauerkraut91832 жыл бұрын
