Can you elaborate on “klipper picked this camera right up”? I have the N4+, bought this camera, printed your bracket and I can’t get klipper to recognize the camera. Lots of garbage on Reddit about how to hack it in, but you didn’t make it sound that way. Much appreciated!

Great video. Thanks for the work on the mount. I happened to get a very similar camera off AliExpress for $5.59 (yeah, stupid price but its actually not bad and worked on the neptune 4 plus without a hitch). Good advice on the method for threading the screws... not many people know to do that. Thumbs up and a subscribe from me. Thank you!

I've been playing around with goosenecks and tripod mounts, this is definitely the way to go. I'm not going to use that webcam, but I'll try to adapt an action camera I have around to your bracket. Thanks for doing this.

Anyway to mount to the build surface so the model doesn’t move in the image. Seems like it would be easier to tell if there is a problem.

I have the Neptune 3 Pro and haven't had any issues. I find it strange and unfortunate that this model has the firmware issues. I'm also always glad to see not a Bambu! The space is flooded with them, like the $99 Enders.

Nice trick for ironing with the modifier cube. I’ll have to try that. Only other main use I’ve experimented with is ironing top layers to enable stacked prints with .2mm gaps. Seems to help allow them release, though with some degradation of the surface finish.

The mount is perfect but when I try to add camera on fluidd it shows nothing. What settings for camera also do i need another program?

The on criticism I have is that you could’ve easily avoided support if you made a large chamfer on the arm holding the camera, and then print the whole thing on its side. Great video though!

Try ironing on all top layers. I find it works well - I set it to 10% extrusion in Cura.

Looks like that part should fit on the Neptune 3 series as well? We'll find out for sure tonight! I realize the base was removed for weight savings, but I might try to modify (drill a hole lol) for a standard 1/4"-20 screw.

Really nice print! Looks like it came from the factory. I've considered getting this same machine so I'd love to see a review. I'm on the fence between this on and waiting for what Bambu comes up with for a large format machine. Guessing Bambu won't have a build volume quite as big as this one though

I have the X1 and also a N4Max. I've been spoiled by how easy it is to print on the Bambu...unless you are in desperate need for the 420x420 build area, then wait for Bambu. If I'm a betting man it will be Prusa XL size of 360x360

i'll be dissapointed if it's only 360x360. as much as I hate the issues I've had with the N4Max, I wouldn't want smaller

10:55 could you invert it on a work bench then heat the strands up and then press them into the “upper” layers?

not without distorting the print. would take too much heat to get the layer underneath them hot enough to melt them together

@@FunctionalPrintFriday i was thinking about those little gas burners to heat the underside quick and then press with a pallet knife or parallel to smush the sticky hot filament. possibly it might just melt the strands away and allow you to sand it.

Did you consider rotating the camera 90 degrees (assuming Clipper can rotate the image by 90 degrees)? That might have given a better overall vertical view while still providing sufficient horizontal view to see enough of the bed.

appreciate the suggestion, but you really only need to see the height at which you're printing. I find the horizontal view more valuable personally

I downloaded and printed mount for my Neptune 4 max. Ordered the camera and assume you power it with your pc and not the printer? Also how do I access remotely to watch on my phone?

Plugs into the front of the printer. Access is via the klipper interface
