Cheap mouses actually give your pointer a “maximum speed” so it is true that it is limiting you. It was a good idea to buy the 3D printer

@@futuremapper_ Yeah those limitations would mostly be the onboard chips and the camera, I suppose you could gain an advantage of making your own mouse housing for the internal components if the original isn't very light-weight (however this is more on a personal preferance level since heavy mice don't affect my game play).

Hey I think I had that same mouse once. Now I'm using an ergonomical vertical mouse which may not be as good as the one you printed but I still haven't look back since.

Square edges are cool but would have probably been really nice with rounded sides. Thats pretty easy to do in solid works but not sure if the 3d printer could handle it

If you wanna make a less bleedy from the hand mouse I highly recommend blender for creating smooth surfaces (but it will take much more effort to fit in with dimensionally accurate pieces).

it will also take a lot a lot of efforts to transform the blender model to a correct 3D model that can go in the printer ( i tried and it was a pain ), plus you can have smooth edges and spherical shapes in fusion 360 too ( the modeling software he’s using)

@@dottedboxguy Yes but aside from things like chamfers and spheres if you want an organic surface it is hard to get. Also for blender its always been really easy to just export as stl? But fair point

@@carrotylemons1190 i agree that organic surfaces are really hard to get in fusion, but everytime i tried directly exporting a model from Blender into Cura it gave me mesh issues, or, when the mesh actually exported correctly, it had no volume at all so i had to convert it to a volumetric model in fusion and that takes a really long time and can sometimes fail if the starting mesh isn't closed (edit : i remember that there is an editable sphere that could extremely easily give the mouse shape)

@@dottedboxguy there is an online tool based on an ai who can fix broken stl's AND blender has an option to set all normals facing outside which is the most common problem. Hope this helps :)

the sensor matters. You should of bought g203 then modded from there. G305 is the mouse that everyone prints shells for. the wireless one.

The sensor really does matter aswell as the MCU. You should’ve gotten a g305 or viper mini PCB and used that PCB instead.
