I love that apron. My favorite quote would be ... the only thing you can change is yourself but sometimes that changes everything. Kind of long but has real meaning for me. Here’s to a wonderful new year. 👋👋

My favorite word has always been “kindness” which is why I always end my comments with “#kindnessmatters”. I even have a small square sign that one of my kids gave me that says “Kindness....throw that stuff around like glitter!” Kindness really does matter and it doesn’t cost a cent. Maybe one of these days I’ll learn how to cut out my own signs and I’ll make myself one of those hashtag signs!! Love your signs and your apron Elysia (& your hubby’s comment about he and the boys using your rolls of vinyl as light sabers....too funny! I had 4 brothers and they definitely would’ve done that....my fun-loving dad too!). What I love best is your attitude and the kindness you share by actually teaching us how to make the signs ourselves. Thank you so much for that. Have an awesome weekend and I can’t wait to see your next video. 🤗 #kindnessmatters

Love the signs! Yes a lot of us in our family always say "It is what it is"...another favorite one of mine because I have dealt with a lot of pain due to some major health issues since 2006 is "The Devil Whispers, "You cant withstand the storm." The Warrior replied, "I am the storm!!"" I would love to make this one into a sign for my home like you do it. :)

Thank you so much for everything-your awesome tutorials, for being a gal not afraid to put yourself out there to help others without being more concerned about wearing jewelry and makeup while you do so. I see so many women who do wood crafts, wood artisan work, and even heavy construction and/or demolition wearing makeup and jewelry, and I think really!! Really???!!!! Am I weird because I love the opportunity to work with wood and dirt free from makeup and jewelry?! You really hone in on super helpful information for those of us without the super technical tools. I am formerly an English teacher who had to leave the classroom due to sickness and am thankfully improving in health after almost two years of being unable to work at all. Wood work appealed to me and became a means of therapy for me in so many ways, and now that I am getting healthier yet COVID has the classroom situation weird, I am really drawn to putting my passion for woodwork to use to pay (and catch up on) bills. I am being given my late uncle’s 12” compound miter saw. While I don’t have a scroll saw, I do have the new miter saw, a circular saw, a reciprocating saw, and limited access to a friend’s table saw and jigsaw. So thankful to be healing and so happy to find your very helpful channel in this new adventure! Many thanks again!☺️☺️☺️☺️

Its not really a quote that me, my mom & 2 sisters say but it's action. Every time we leave one another's house we kiss then press our right cheek against each other (kinda like a face hug) then say "I love you" Its my favorite thing we do as a little family. And we also say I love you morether. 😄😘

I absolutely love your channel! You have such talent, creativity and drive. I have a DeWalt scroll saw that I had to fight my ex-husband for in court during our divorce because the reason we bought it was for me to cut out wood pieces I paint as a decorative painter. Most are Christmas ornaments but some are larger pieces such a rounds for the tops of wire baskets and larger figures, such as Santas, snowmen, or bunnies, among other things. He did cut some things out for me using the scroll saw for my daughter's dance team to use in the local Christmas parade (I drew out 12" snowflakes and he cut them out of cardboard) and he cut out 20" stars we used for her high school choral group's end-of-year performance, which was a huge performance called "Dinner Theatre". I saw where one subscriber suggested using printed paper attached with spray adhesive to the wood or cardboard (snowflakes/stars). I have used this technique often and it does work very well. I learned this from the guys demonstrating the scroll saw at the International Woodworking Show my ex-husband and I attended each year. I still attend the show on occasion because it is always interesting to see the new tools. I have also used graphite paper to transfer smaller designs where I don't want the paper design to get in my way. I also use Olson spiral scroll saw blades. They are awesome to work with and eliminate having to turn your wood piece around so much. They're especially good in tight spots. The one tool I didn't fight for was the table saw, which I regret. I didn't think I needed it since my Dad had one to give me but the motor burned out and it was past repair. So I am saving for one now. We owned a construction company which is why we owned so many tools but he bankrupted the company after leaving me for another woman. His work was phenomenal but he lost his focus and even walked off a job he was doing for friends of ours to the tune of $400,000. But Karma is a b**** and someday he will regret what he did, not just to me...but to so many others who supported him and kept him in business by word of mouth and mostly high-end jobs. Didn't mean to get into all that but did want to let you know what my experience has been with my scroll saw. I love it!! It is really probably one of the easier tools to use. It kinda reminds me of using a sewing machine (I also do a lot of sewing). I have a rheostat attached to my scroll saw which does make it easier to use. Thank you for sharing your talent and your enthusiasm for your crafts with us. It's obvious that you really enjoy what you do!!
