this was requested! it's my first time doing a tutorial, so i apologize if the video is too fast in some parts or confusing.. and if the quality isn't the best TT i'll try better next time

*** If anyone comments for help/any questions (or anything really) and I don't reply, or interact with the comment at all.. it's because yt's been deleting a lot of comments on my videos for me, and I have no idea why. So, please, if anyone needs help and I don't reply, it's because of this! I'm really sorry about it :( *** ** although I keep mentioning to keep the graphs loose, I ended up having to loosen them even more (later in the video) after noticing some edges that kept showing up after I added my shake! (I initially thought they were too tight, but no) So please do as I say rather than as I do in the video :”)** Most of the video later just shows my process of adding effects to make it look better.. this is all optional! Time stamps: main transition/tutorial: 00:00 - 02:41 lens blur + exposure: 02:41 - 04:19 wave warp: 04:19 - 05:06 adding a shake (it’s a preset of mine, not included): 05:06 - 06:11 fixing my graphs : 06:11 - 07:10 opacity “flashes” at the start and end of each clip: 07:10 - 07:36 (please slow down the video if needed + watch with the highest quality)

@Castern't hii! so when you say yours is smaller, you mean the size of the clip/pic is smaller than mine? And that you aren’t trying to scale it all the way up to 100%? Let’s say.. rather trying to make it scale to only 50%? (I hope I got it 🥲..) if that is what you’re trying to do, I’d say to mostly just experiment with different scales to see what looks good. If your clip is scaling to 50%, maybe try 20-25% at first? If it’s something around 70-85%.. 30-45% could work too?

@Castern't and then for the graph, I think it would look the same as mine. Or maybe try making it a bit looser than mine, since your zoom would be a bit smaller, so that you can still see the clip smoothly scale in to its full size. @Castern't okii! So to get the yellow arms, you have to make sure you’re adjusting the value graphs, not speed graphs. (Speed graphs kinda look like semi circles.. while value ones look like the ones I’m using). To get value graphs, once you’re in the graph editor, look at the icons at the bottom of the window (just below the graph) and select the second icon from the left, then you should get options and just select the value graph option!

Hi!! I have a question, what ae do you use? I'm using ae 2020 & whenever i want to add a graph it doesn't look like what's on your screen. there's like two lines one is red and one is blue, i'm very confused on how to work them. do i need to have an updated version of ae?

Hii! I use ae 2021! Ae 2020 should be fine so don’t worry about updating it ^^ could you tell me what the graph is for? Is it for the scale? Or one of the rotation values? The only thing I could think of is maybe you selected more than just one transform property when you went into the graph editor.. and then ae would’ve showed you the graphs for the two properties (let’s say, x rotation and y rotation at once) which could be why there were two lines?

I just checked and if this is happening on the scale property, it’s possible that somehow the scale proportion option was switched off (it’s like a chain/lock icon on the left of the scale size). So just make sure all the values are equal (otherwise it could look stretched/out of proportion), then click on the icon so it shows again so that the scale proportion becomes locked!

hii this is a very stupid question but i am only asking bc i have tried everything. ive tried pressing f9 to easy ease my keyframes and it did nothing so then i right clicked and went to keyframe assisant where it should give me the easy ease option but the option isnt there either and i have tried searching up how to easy ease keyframes on mac to find a different way but i havent found any 😭, i was wondering if u might know why this is happening and if there is any other ways to easy ease keyframes on mac. (i use ae 2022 btw) please and thank u in advance!!

heyy! So I tried searching a bit and I found a forum with a similar problem? (I hope it is..), it's possible you already came across this or tried the solutions 😭.. but here is the link! community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects-discussions/easy-ease-on-mac/m-p/5916079 . One of the answers towards the end includes a picture of some keyboard settings? Maybe that could be the cause of the issue? I hope this will be able to help you - good luck!

Heyy! Don’t give up, after effects and editing in general always needs so much practice and time put into it. Even after using it for so long, I have times when I really can’t do anything myself 🥲 but I know you can do it! Just keep referring to tutorials and keep experimenting too, good luck!

Hey! I’m sorry this happened, I’m not entirely sure why it’s happening either but did you check if your Scale settings are still locked in proportion for your clips/photos? You can check my pressing S to bring up scale, and then checking if the little lock (even paper clip 😭) looking icon is still there! If it’s not there, then maybe it was accidentally deselected and that’s why it could be becoming stretched!

I'm sorry to hear you're having problems and the other solution didn't work- that's quite strange.. the only other thing I could think of at the moment would be if your ''Camera View Settings'' were changed? Sometimes if it's on a different setting, it could cause things to look stretched- so! Try clicking on the camera view options at the bottom right of the comp, and make sure it's on ''Active Camera''! (If it's instead on "Front" or something, that would cause the problem).

Heyy! Please make sure you have 3D enabled on your layers. It should be the icon next to where you enable motion blur, so click on the little box and you should then get a little cube icon once it has been enabled! I hope this helps :D

@@justinjoestar504 gosh this is new 🥲 I never really had this happen.. the only thing I can think of at the moment is that maybe your values are inverted or different from mine? Then that would show the graph as being different or opposite than what I got in the tutorial. Where are you getting the problem? Is it for the rotation, or flip, or zoom?
