The Sun Palace is a huge "No". If I am paying higher than average prices for a resort, I should not have to fight for seats at the pools every freaking day.

We just got back from there 3 days ago, you are spot on. We stayed 4 days. did not have enough credits (750 total, but just a few to the spa) to go in the spa. Very bad deal

We have been to Excellence playa mujeres 3 times already. We love it. We will be going in two months to celebrate our anniversary. It will be our fourth time there. We have been to 4 diffrerent resorts but we keep going back to Excellence. It’s an awesome resort. Saludos desde Corpus Christi!

We have twice been to Beloved in Playa Mujeres. Food and service is amazing, rooms are huge, resort is stunning and it’s very boutique.

I love your reviews. The only thing I would suggest to spend more time on the pools. I like to know how many pools there? Do they have swim up bars, do they have lagoons, is there a fight for seating, etc. I was at Finest Resort before the pandemic and loved the compound oversized property style. The food was very well presented, but it could’ve been a little more unique and flavorful.

I started watching your videos recently and I love how real all of your reviews are, you really hit every aspect too. Since I've also recently started looking into the different resorts in Mexico for a spring break trip next year with a group of my friends (8ppl), your videos have been insanely helpful! I did want to ask you if know if resorts will allow you to add more people per room than the 'maximum occupancy' and how much it would cost per person. And if you have any recommendations of resorts then have larger suites or connecting rooms that would be amazing!!!

Thanks so much for watching! They will not let you add people over maximum capacity. It depends on your budget but many resorts have connecting rooms but for some reason you pay more. In my experience it’s been cheaper to book the rooms separately and only have 2-3 people in a room rather than getting larger rooms etc. join our Facebook group and ask in there too!! facebook.com/groups/572572378298675/. Hi! I love your videos and find your videos entertaining and instructive. My favorite AO resorts so far are Iberostar Grand Paraiso (ocean front rooms) they have the best food, Secrets Maroma (I recommend prefered club) and Excellence Riviera Cancun (although next time I'd go to the Playa Mujeres one). Going to Impression Moxché (swim out) next week which seems amazing :)

This was super helpful!! I caught a a good deal for Haven but all of the reviews on the food had been mixed and it really didn't seem to have as many activities as some of the other resorts I was considering. I kept waiting for EPM and ended up finding an Excellence Club room at a decent price so this makes me feel a lot better about things.

Love your channel and all that you do and I'm so happy to see this type of video! Their one of my favorite kinds besides ty extensive reviews you do. May I request a video from yah Blanche? Only when you've got time and if you even want to take a jab at it..but for those of us on a particular budget these days and still want to have a pretty good vaca to Mexico that still offers best bag for your buck. If you are all about the beaches, you really should try Hyatt Ziva, it’s right at the tip of the peninsula so it has two beaches. It’s pretty amazing.

Well done. Been to few of your top ones. 👍 A few to check out that I I highly recommend: classic El Dorada Maroma, both Secrets Maroma and Akumal very similar and location is the only difference, Grand Velas, even older Akumal Bay Beach and Wellness Resort - service top notch 👍every room close to ocean, Iberostar Grand. Those would be worth a look for ADULTS ONLY too.

One person's perception is "boring ".Another person's is relaxing, elegant, service driven, and classy. If you are going to fairly assess the best adults only resorts in Cancun, Beloved is consistently in the Top 3 or even number 1 on so many lists. No, it's not the crazy party vibe but wouldn't you want to have the experience and knowledge to be able recommend a smaller boutique hotel that is more relaxed and quiet? One would think it would be good for your channel to have a video on it. But I guess that's just me. 😂

Well for adults only fun you could try Temptation Resort & Spa (aka the old "Blue Bay " 1 of the 1st resorts to have been built in Cancun) beach isn't the best BUT it's a party place

Depends on time of year. If you like turquoise blue waters then look at the hotel zone!! Sun Palace Le Blanc and Hyatt are good. Excellence Playa Mujeres is amazing too with calmer water

We love the Finest Playa Mujeres! We have stayed there 4 times so far. It is right next door to the Excellence. It’s not adults only, but we always stay in the Excellence Club swim out room. This is the adults only section. The adults only restaurant, Dommo, is one of the best of any all inclusive restaurant anywhere! I really hope that you will try it out, maybe we will see you there😀

I went to Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya in June. Only two months after they opened, so still working out the quirks. It was gorgeous, great service and the food was good, but the menus were small. For only having 3 a la carte restaurants and one buffet, I expected more options. It was super laid back and not much to do, so I did not like that aspect. We got the grand opening special, so definitely a good deal, but I wouldn't pay the regular rate to go back. Heading to Atelier in June. It seemingly has great food and it looks gorgeous. Nightlife seems to differ based on who you ask. Definitely more to do than Hyatt ZRM. Nicely priced for a really top notch resort. Really looking forward to that trip. Totally agree about Le Blanc. I was at their Cabo resort this time last year. Totally amazing with everything, except entertainment. Totally boring and I'm not a party animal, at all.

One of our favorites is Unico 2087. The resort is owned by RCD, which is the off shoot of Palace Resorts, which runs the Hard Rock all-inclusive properties in Mexico & Dominican Republic. Nice rooms, very walkable property and better food than most other resorts. You might find it quiet at night but close to Fifth Avenue by cab. Unfortunately, being between Tulum & Playa del Carmen it's over one hour from airport. Never thought of the Grand at Moon Palace as adult only. It's a family resort with a few adult only spaces.

@@3Days3Noches Correct, the beach is not great. Still worth the visit in much the same way as the beach is not great at Moon Palace. We love the beach in the hotel zone but still appreciate Unico. IMO you should try it. Plan on near LeBlanc level of food & service on Sun Palace's price point. Been members at Palace Resorts & Legendary for years and this property is one of our favorites.

I agree, Unico has been are favorite adults only. There are some large sandy patches in the water that you can enjoy getting in the water. The other two adults only we loved are Secrets Maroma Beach and El Dorado Casitas Royal.

I understand you can’t go to every resort at different times of year, but the seaweed is somewhat seasonal. Sure, some resorts have slightly better coast lines, for whatever reason, and do a better job of cleaning, but docking the Breathless Riviera for what is a problem for most resorts during that time seems a little harsh. However, I see that there were other attributes that lowered it for you. We haven't been there, so I can't comment. Similarly, the resorts during Covid were completely different than they are now. During Covid, there were some pros and cons that seemed applicable to all of the resorts we visited: short staffed, but not a lot of visitors so they were happy to see you and quick to serve. Cleanliness was also a bit lower and menus/restaurants were reduced. A positive was that the chairs were available on the beach and the pool. We could get ‘front row’ chairs at any time of day. I have to wonder if the chairs are still plentiful at the Barcelo Maya Riviera now that more people are traveling. We've never repeated a resort, so I can't compare a Covid vs Pre/Post Covid experience, but I have to imagine things are back to normal on all of them so you have to 'reserve' your chair early. Haven: We went last year. The food was fine. The Asian restaurant was mediocre. It has probably improved since you visited. We found it a little too small. Going to the Excellence PM later this year and looking forward to it. Wish they had the plunge pool rooms with a true oceanfront view like Elegance does. I also hope they have reinstated their buffet lunch. I'll call as we get closer.

Great video. I am assuming you've visited more since. We are looking for good food, good bars and good nightlife and pool for sure!! Adults only and there will be about 4-5 couples. Moon palace looks cool but way to big, don't want to ride golf carts to go anywhere..our budget is about $600 night...any suggestions? There are way too many resorts and I feel like I am spinning in circles..lol

I know it’s very overwhelming!! Excellence Playa Mujeres you will love! It’s about $6-7 a night depending on the time of year. They are also doing renovations so just check that. So far that has had everything we love in an All Inclusive resort. I heard Hyatt Zilara is good as well. Unico gets amazing reviews but again might be out of your budget and the beach is so so and Atelier Playa Mujeres we are looking to book as well which is def in your budget but a bigger resort. My biggest recommendation is to stretch the budget a little and you will get a better experience!!

We recently stayed at Royalton Cancun Riviera Hideaway Adult only side of the resort. Short ride to resort from airport. The energy there was good, the service was great, drinks were above avg except at the pools unless you tell the bartender how you like your drinks, the food ran from average to above average with plenty of good restaurants to chose. The morning room service is great but the night room service food selection is below average sandwiches and fries that may alleviate your hunger and somewhat satisfy your tastebuds. The entertainment was good. The price was great at $400 per night for a great room.

@@3Days3Noches The water was not clear blue. There was some seaweed in the ocean but not much on the beach. The property has a long beach front with adult side and the family side far apart. The water sport equipment is closer to the family side. You don't have to get up early to reserve your beach chair or cabana - no charge. There is a adult only Diamond beach section.

Yes I think those resorts are cheaper that way because the beach experience isn’t the best. But sounds great otherwise!

Great information! I’m traveling to Cancun the first week of May. As you know the sargassum is really bad this year, but do you have an idea what area is less affected by it? I’m trying to book an hotel with a possible good beach. I’m open to staying anywhere in the Riviera Maya, so it can be the hotel zone, Playa del Carmen, Akumal etc...

Sorry for emailing here....looking for a very quiet, calm, low key relaxing adults only resort with wonderful ocean views and great food. Any recommendations? Tried Valentin, loved the room. Same with Live Aqua. Amazing. Went to Excellence RC and was very disappointed with how rowdy everything was. The music was so loud all day into the late evening. We need to relax! Have you looked into Le Blanc? Pricey but has everything you’re looking for. Although they try to sell you on a membership which I hate. Their sister resort Sun Palace doesn’t have as good of food but lower price. Beloved Playa Mujeres I heard is pretty good as well as the adults only Hyatt in the hotel zone.

Actually were at the Majestic Ellegance and had great food. We have been to around 12 resorts and found this resort to have the best food overall. We have been to Excellence Riviera Maya and enjoyed Majestic food much better.

Never done a Adults Only, did Barcelo Palace last year our first time to Mexico and loved it. I personally do not care for the look of Barcelo AO one and would not pay to stay there. Palace is amazing in itself. We are returning this summer and trying Bahia Akumal. We like the levelled properties to have access to the ones below. We wanted Lindo, really set on it but too expensive to book now we waited to long. We always go two weeks as we only travel once a year in the summer. Would love to try some of the ones mentioned on this channel. Imagine the price of Le Blanc for two weeks eeek lol. Have you ever done a dreams resort how are they in the cancun area? Looked into them for our upcoming trip and based on some reviews and videos did not sell me on it. We loved the Riu in Punta Cana we did Riu Bavaro in 2018. I looked into Riu Riviera Maya we were close to choosing it after Iberostar fell. After watching Heather Styles Xo video she was just there there are issues with AC and pools are very small. That is a Riu thing they don’t really have big pools like other resorts. Yes they get pretty busy especially in the pools. In 2018 the seaweed was bad when we went everyone was in the pools and it was packed. That I can see why someone may not like it. I to prefer bigger pools and or more spread out pools for different types like quiet/ activity etc. The ones in Cancun Riu Pennisula looks awesome. The channel where were going next reviews them all.

One thing you didn't touch on (and it could be because it's not part of your trips typically) is golf. Do you know if any of these resorts have connections to local course you can play for free or at least get a ride to play at?

I loved the Los Americanos (stayed July '23). It does have a bit of a party vibe however, especially around the activity pool. With any Riu Palace facility you also have access to 'most' of their other properties. Riu Cancun was right next door so it was fun to hop around the beach to that property as well. I also took a day trip to the Penninsula which also looked amazing and large (but kids abound). I would easily stay at Riu resorts again. Love the north part of the hotel zone as it 'usually' has way less sarggasum and the water isn't as rough there.

I have stayed at Le Blanc and I love it there! I would be open mind to go to the Excellence Playa Mujeres however you did not comment on the food. The food for me is a big deal more than the beach itself. How is the food there compare to Le Blanc? Also how do you get there from the airport? Do you need to take a boat? Have you stayed at Hyatt Ziva? This hotel is also one of my favorite. great food, great entertainment, plus awesome beaches. Thanks for the review.

Thanks for watching. Here’s the full review on Excellence! Le Blanc definitely has better food! But we like a good nightlife. We actually do a bunch of videos on it. It’s about 40 minutes from airport and you don’t need a boat. Definitely trying Hyatt Ziva this year!!

Correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve been to the bluebay twice but not for quite a few years as we have tried other resorts and destinations but we took our elementary school children when we went. Did they change to adults only? It has been a long time since we were there our children are now 19 and 21 years old. The first time we went the resort was great the second time it was showing some wear and tear but still good. I’ve been hearing lately some pretty poor reviews of Bluebay which is unfortunate my in-laws have timeshare.

We loved secrets! We’ve stayed at secrets the vine and secrets Maroma beach. We are also palace members and have stayed at LeBlanc and going to Sun Palace next month. Don’t sleep on secrets, those hotels are wonderful and at the same caliber!

I don’t know why you included the Iberostar Lindo since it has never been an adults only resort. The only adults only resort is the Iberostar Grand which is much more expensive. Also, the pandemic caused a huge drop in service so your review is really outdated.

@@3Days3Noches Interesting. We went in Sept 2020, so Covid was slowing down, and we were at the Iberostar Grand Paraiso, which is the adults only and what I assume you tried to book. At that time I don't think they had capacity requirements, but the staff were still wearing masks. We had a great time, partially because it was at about 40% capacity and our room had a great view. I did like how our area was adults only but we could still go to the other properties to visit the other restaurants, bars, and pools. The overall resort was HUGE and I kept getting turned around. I think that was the place that had a separate shopping area with an ice cream parlor, some trinket shops, and a really delicious Mexican grill (fast food). I'd say it is worth another visit for you to check out the Grand Paraiso. The food was fine, with good breakfast and lunch buffets, but we had to go to the family resorts for more lively activities. I'd be curious if their night life has improved now that they are likely more full.
