I've regreted some things... and made mistakes, and been stuck in a rut... this song is sooo my life right now. LOVE IT!!

Has to be one of my favorite songs! I left home “Ohio” at 18, and went to FL for a job that was super stressful and in my mind it was great, but my heart wasn’t in it, “A crowded street can be a quiet place When your walking alone” I was really lonely and would drink a lot, I really missed home. A few weeks before I left FL my soccer coach in high school died from cancer, that was really sad, my parents came and visited me and I felt loved again, I felt like no one cared about me but they did, so I waited a couple weeks and after not even 3 months I quit my job and went back home and pretty much listen to this song the whole way home “then just knowing better” and I’m so glad I did. “your mistakes do not define you they tell you who your not” I felt like I failed again and I poured my soul into that job. I didn’t want to feel trapped but “live this life, like it’s the only one You’ve got!”. Now I’m free!! (hiding behind my walls of maybe nevers) -thanks guys for the amazing song!! Definitely touched me+motivated me!!

I had almost forgotten about this song until my brother played it the other day. It took me back to a time years ago when this song spoke to me. I was young and, if I'm being honest, scared to face the world. The line that really got me was, "If you're afraid to fly, then I guess you never will". I've faced allot and changed allot in that time. I'm not where I wanna be, but I'm still growing and doing my best to fly. To anyone reading this, don't waste any more of your life. It's never too late to "fly". You may fail a few times, but always get back up. Live like this life is the only one you've got...... because it is.

Matt Roberts was a hell of a musician and a great backup singer are back-up vocalist whatever you want to say but he hasn't been with three doors down since 2012 it's a real shame what happened to him he had a lot of talent he will greatly be missed he will live on forever in our hearts rest in peace my brother

If this song helped Kenny Parton recover from whatever internal struggle was going on, then this is a wonderful thing. This song perfectly describes my life, to be honest. I hate feeling like I'm wasting my life by dwelling on the stupid shit that, thinking about it, I put myself through by not letting go of things that've happened in the past, that've left a lasting impression on me. Every regret I've ever had, every mistake I've ever made, I've always wanted to show that I'm not that guy who does things like that, who has regrets for the things he does. This song helps me gain perspective :)
