Thing is, it’s not the fault of Atlus, but Nintendo. If Atlus had their way, they would’ve gone all the way with the gay romance stuff, since they, y’know, are actually fine with gay romances (See Persona 2 for an example). Nintendo however, the one who owns the device this game is on) is a lot more finicky with this. This is because the process of games being released on a Nintendo device involves a focus screening of *families* so... yeah you can put two and two together. TL;DR: While it is, it’s not the fault of Atlus.
