The reason why Dr. Strange couldn't trap Thanos in the mirror dimension is because he had both the Space and Reality stone that time. He could manipulate space and reality, which means trapping him in the mirror dimension would've been ineffective.

The small redemption Andrew Garfield got from catching MJ and actually saving them is genuinely emotional. You can almost feel that Peter had been planning out and constantly thinking of what he could have done differently to save her life and now he can actually do it.

The experience of seeing all this in the cinema was so surreal. One of the best cinema experiences of my entire life and it brought to life all the things I wanted to see for a long time and it was easily my favourite movie of 2021 and one of my top 3 MCU movies ever.

That's why the final fight hits different ; he's so pissed he doesn't hold back against Norman out of pure wrath

I have to say it here because I've yet to see somebody recognize it, but listen closely to the music that plays during the whole scene when Dr Strange has to cast the spell to make everybody forget Peter at the end of the movie. It's a sad-toned version of one of the main themes of the film, but it uses small snips of the tracks that played when Tony Stark died and at his funeral. I thought that was incredible use of music and very symbolic of Peter maturing into himself and, in terms that Cap and Tony would recognize, "making the sacrifice play" that those who read comics would expect our selfless Spiderman to do. EXCELLENT use of music. I recognized the theme when I first saw the movie in theaters, and it REALLY added to the emotion of the scene for me!

I'd have to rewatch IW, but you can see him cast the cracked glass/mirror looking effect at Thanos, which would have put him in the mirror dimension had it connected.

Hey just wanted say that dr strange did try to send thanos to the dimension if you notice during the fight strange throws a glass like substance at thanos which thanos proceeds to shatter with a punch, he just couldnt get thanos inside

I'm not sure about space but everyone on Earth memory has been erased including technology like E.D.I.T.H which uses biometric identification which is why he needed to make its own suit also he didn't need a advance suit. Also it's only people and things that can match Peter Face to his name but things that has only his name he still has like his birth certificate.

Ned is actually going to be a villain eventually. In the comics, the actor playing "Ned" is Ned Leeds who becomes the Hobgoblin. The difference between him and the Green Goblin in the comics if I'm not mistaken uses magic and this movie sets that up!!

you can tell they couldn't get everyone together Both of Sandman and Lizards transformations back to human are just edits of scenes they filmed in their last movie. Sandman's is basically the end of the subway fights, when he is falling apart, turning into mud, played in reverse and a new cgi job. Lizard's is actually an alternate take of his transformation back to human from amazing spiderman thats why beyond those bits, they are completely cgi, despite sandman's usual ability to look normal they were never on set, they just did voice work

The original spell was only supposed to make everyone forget Peter was Spider-Man. In order to fix the rift in the multiverse, Strange has to make everyone forget Peter even EXISTS. That explains his reluctance to cast the latter spell. It has significantly more consequences for Peter.
