Set up is so important, I use mostly hybrids in my game and it has made me much more consistent, so to be honest I have replaced most of my Long irons with hybrids, taken away 6,7,8 iron's, what's in my bag, obviously a driver, 3 wood, 5 baffler, 6, 8 hybrids, 9 iron and PW, SW and chipper just in case I would say that's due to inconsistency or belief in my own shot ability. To be honest I am now more consistent now that I have replaced my Long irons. Again great video Chris

I bought a hybrid a few years ago as I struggled to hit driver but was never able to master the hybrid. In the meantime my driver improved so it's been sat in the bag untouched and even lent to a friend for a time. I've gone back to it as I need a club for approx. 200 yards and watched your video this morning with a view to practicing hybrid. Your video tuition was excellent and taking on board your 3 points I hit my hybrid surprisingly well I'm now and looking forward to using it next time on course. Ball flight and distance were incredibly pleasing. Tee drill worked well and I applied these points to my 3-wood which I've struggled with too. Thank you so much for the video, it is invaluable.

I am new to golfing and I need to have everything simply explained to me. This video is exactly what I needed. It tells me where the ball should be in my stance and how to strike the ball. These points may sound simple to the experienced golfer but mean all the world to me to eliminate frustration on the course.

This video has helped me hit my hybrid like I'm supposed to - especially the part about placing a broken tee two or three inches in front of the ball and trying to make contact with both. Well done, Chris. Thank you.

I watched this video this morning and played this afternoon. I immediately corrected the ball position for my hybrid and hit some great second shots. Chris explains things very well, great detail.

I just bought a hybrid 2 days ago, used it yesterday with very mixed results (more bad than good). I've watched a few videos about hitting them but yours seems to be the most straight forward. I plan on heading out to the driving range soon to get better acquainted with my (hopefully) new best friend. Thank you very much.

Chris, thanks for all the videos, they have really helped me understand the golf swing much better. You have a great understanding of not only what to teach but also how to communicate it in a very easy to understand way. Please keep up the good work and know that you are doing a very fine job of helping a lot of golfers

Watched this vid the other night on the exercise bike.Just got back from the range now where I really started crushing my recently purchases G410 19 and 26 degree hybrids. Couldnt believe the groove I got into hitting these clubs, even when placing the ball in old divots/pitch marks the ball flew out beautifully. Great vid, thanks!

One thing that really helped my hybrid inconsistency was matching my plane with the club lie. I found I was too shallow and that being more upright and steeper seemed to help. Could you someday do a video on swing plane to lie relationship? It seems logical that the sole of a well-fitted club would sit flat on the ground, with no toe up or toe down but you don't see this subject discussed. Thanks Chris.

Biggest thing that have worked for me as I find hybrids to be difficult is slowing down my swing. It really doesn't take much to crush a shot with a hybrid. So I probably take off about 25% of my swing that I would normally use with a regular iron.

I use an 18 degree hybrid as a driving hybrid but I tend to hook it left. Without looking at my swing, what are some things I'm doing that could cause this. When I say hook I mean...HOOK lol. Thanks and again great video.
@Michael_MJ
@Michael_MJ 8 жыл бұрын
Path to much in to out relative to face - put head cover outside line of path to encourage less in to out. Second reason, hitting too much on toe. Third reason ball position too far forward. Good luck. Also search Chuck Cook Hook. Perhaps Chris can do some tips on hooking.
