Congrats! Don't forget to mention the purpose of the Light Geese Conservation Order established by the Fish and Wildlife Service: to reduce the population of Snows and Blues which will preserve the vulnerable habitat on their breeding grounds on the Canadian tundra!

Imagine the numbers of snows you could kill if California had a spring conservation hunt with no limit. A group of guys could kill a thousand in a day.

As many as his gun can hold, only allowed because they are over populated. It’s also only allowed during conservation season.

@@reedmeyer2031 if I hunt migrators I just use a full choke but if I know I’m hunting a feed where there’s thousands in your face at a time I’d use modified or something that spreads your pattern out good so you can kill multiple geese in one shot. Just gotta find what’s best for you and your gun!

I guess shells are cheap and easy to find. Some of those guys are shooting half their magazine at birds way out of range. Never understood the point of using extensions sitting on decoys.

I guess I struck a nerve. I think I know why. Specks were mixed in with those working snows. They were stack layer over layer. Low light conditions. Pellets kill at over 100 yards. I guess we just roll different. Peace out.
