I still don’t understand why they never introduced Molly for real onto the show to get to know Meredith. She’s her sister, too. I get her husband is on base and blah blah but this show could easily find a reason to bring her to GreySloan

I don't buy it, I don't believe Shonda was planning on introducing some other child, Maggie, into the picture - it was just a happy coincidence along the way.

Why did she not say that "we could be your family" to Meredith when Meredith was young? Did she not know that her husband has a child from before?

She knew. In episode 2x22 she mentioned seeing pictures of mer when she was young. Thatcher said in the episode (although I'm not sure i believe him) that he tried getting meredith but ellis put a stop to it
