Footage shot near Tyler, TX which is an area with a large amount of tree's to obscure the view of the storms.

The April 24-30, 2011 storm has to go down on record as one of the worst outbreaks in history. Pretty much a full week of nonstop destruction and death.

i remember this... it was my first time in a tornado and i was really scared. i was only 6 at the time and we had only a small closet with weak doors.

Every time I hear a weather station talk about how much worse the weather is now due to global warming I just shake my head.

@@TheJCFan It's all about the money... they've been pushing "climate" agendas for decades and decades. There was a time they said it was going to cool too much 🤣It's called natural temp changes through the centuries. Has cycled over and over for millennia.

I remember I was swimming in Tyler state park when this happend I was so scared I was stuck on the deck in the middle of the water with my brother and sisters and my mom the tornado was hitting the lake we swam as fast as we could to get to the shore then we made it.... We ran up the concrete steps to get to the car they made it in the car but..... I was almost in the air but I wasn't because I was holding onto the poles grappling further up till I made it to the car we almost DIED!!! Lightning was zapping the lake with others in it people was brutally hurt I prayed I had a bloody body from glass and bricks thrown at me it was scary it was real I was with it!!! 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

kadence breanne omg that would scare me! Especially if i was swimming. Luckily you weren't stuck on that little deck in the middle of the water 😬 it isn't the most sturdy thing in the world or safest. Im surprised it didn't blow away

But this tornado lifted northwest of lindale? Not East of lindale where TSP is located.

I remember one year it was brutal weather & a tornado in Tyler, maybe it was this one. & My friends birthday party was supposed to be after school later that day & crazy enough the weather cleared out really quick & got sunny again...Texas weather is crazy

I’ve seen this tornado before… I thought I’ve never seen a tornado touched down before in my town (thank god it didn’t touched down my neighborhood)

You could even hear the howl from the tornado. I think he was about 1500 yards away from this tornado, So he has been pretty much 100% careful while he was driving. I think the velocities of how from the position can be from this tornado are: Very Center (Inside or a foot from the wall): 110mph Sustained Winds and 130mph Gusts about 300 yds from the tornado: 100mph Sustained Winds and 120mph Gusts about 600 yds from the tornado: 90mph Sustained Winds and 110mph Gusts about 900 yds from the tornado: 80mph Sustained Winds and 100mph Gusts about 1200 yds from the tornado: 70mph Sustained Winds and 90mph Gusts about 1500 yds from the tornado: 60mph Sustained Winds and 80mph Gusts about 1800 yds from the tornado: 50mph Sustained Winds and 70mph Gusts about 2100 yds from the tornado: 40mph Sustained Winds and 60mph Gusts about 2 miles from the tornado: 5-10mph Sustained Winds and Gusts up to 20mph 3 or more miles: No Cyclonic Winds. Winds only one direction.

not in the city of tyler. theres barely any. i hear about tornados touching down in cities very near us all the time.

No. I think we've had 3 or 4 in our history. Usually hits around us in Van, Canton, then a little North and NE of us. We did just have a brief touchdown a few days ago. First I'd seen in 35 years in Tyler.
