I got one of these when i was 13, i was already almost 6ft. Tall and weighed 175-185 (far bigger then what a bike this size is geared towards). I raced it for 2 years and had some pretty dominant performances on it even though i was far too big for it. i had some of the best races of my life on this bike. I had to put an upgraded clutch in it because i was so heavy, clutching it out of the corners was the only way i could get it to wake up and carry me lol. Definitely a great bike, fabulous for competition, that thing never let me down, but i did take good care of it too. I highly recommend it, just make sure to loctite all the plastic panel’s bolts, they vibrate loose like its their job.

If you have no prior experience. Then I think the KX100 would be a good place to start. You are tall enough for a larger bike. But a KX250F is a hand full to ride fast for anyone. Thanks again.

No me or anyone else can tell you which bike is right for you based on just height and weight. What kind of riding are you planning to do? What kind of experience do you have? How much do you want to spend? These are just a few questions I would need to have answered to better help you. I would recommend that you visit or your local Kawasaki dealer to sit on some bikes and discuss your options. Thanks for watching and for your question.

I rode dirt bikes as a kid for fun, not competitively - KX80. It's been probably 30 years since I've ridden but what would you recommend for someone 145lbs, 5' 7". I'd like to get my 9 year old son into it as well, a little father son fun. Thoughts on which bikes might work for each of us?

I want to start riding dirtbikes and looking to get my first bike. I have prior experience riding sport atv's so i know how to change gears. Im 13 and 5'2 @ 110 pounds. Im debating wether to get a crf150r or kx100. I will be riding motocross tracks and trails. Im going to purchase one used off of craigslist and i could find both for about the same price range. So kx100 or crf150r???

im 5 foot 1 and ride a xr80r for about 2 years know looking for a new bike looking at the kx 100 or the crf125 and i have been on a ktm 85 and and it was a little small

coming from a xr80 all you need is a rm85 big wheel, still probably too much power.

100 might be a bit tall, i recommend the kx85. but the best way to tell is to go and sit on both, thats what i did to figure it out.

You're pretty tall for a twelve year old, but I'd go for a 125 if you're looking into two strokes, and you've probably grown a lot since you commented last year lol!
