How do you know no fire walls

@@tashnageorge The fire spread through the attic/cockloft area above the apartments. If it had masonry firewalls to compartmentalize that bldg the fire would have been contained in 1 section. We had large area H-Type apt bldgs in NYC and the first code placed fire-wall at top floor ceiling. That did not work so next code placed it at underside of roof. That also did not work so last change placed walls above roofline. If you watch fire videos in NYC there are hundreds of the old code bldgs still out there. Every year there is at least one 5 alarm disaster just like this one. Jacksonville Fl just lost an entire block apt bld, as fire from 1 apt got into cockloft. They chased the fire around the entire the entire block. Sections collapsed just like this one.
