The hotel is the most significant and newest in Playa Blanca Lanzarote, 100 meters from the Playa Dorado. The 4-star Barceló Playa Blanca hotel boasts a unique combination of exclusive services and facilities and an impressive location opposite a stretch of sea. The architecture and décor of Barceló Playa Blanca are inspired by the shapes, colours and textures in Lanzarote's natural island landscape. This magnificent hotel in Lanzarote occupies an area of 100,000 square metres on the seafront.
The rooms are open-plan and fully equipped and have been designed to give guests a perfect holiday packed with relaxation and exclusivity. The complex in Lanzarote has a main 180-metre-long infinity pool and another heated pool. In addition, with well-being and personal care in mind, it offers a Wellness Centre with a spa, fitness studio and sports centre with tennis and paddle tennis courts. Yes, stayed Royal Level in December and have never felt so ripped off in all my life. Am still fighting to have part of monies paid returned to me as it was frankly awful. Looks lovely inside and the views are great but that's it. Everything else (including the smell of sewage in our room) was awful.

@clarebarrow603 I was in the middle of January, and it looks like they improved quite a bit. But I agree they should give you some money back or freebies if the hotel is not properly finished or in the test ride. It is common practice everywhere, apart from Europe, unfortunately.

👍 thanks very much but what is the barca club ? i cant remember seeing it on the hotel ammenities , was it open when you were there? ps if barcelo had replied to my email i wouldnt have been bothering you , sorry

No, don't apologise. I am doing this channel to help people. I am happy to answer any questions if I can. Barcy Club is a kids' club with different games. In the video, it is at 10:30 minutes, but I didn't go inside as there was some minor work going on.

thanks for your vid and visit to hotel. Please is there any table tennis (ping pong) and tennis courts on site? I wanted to book royal level but i have a 14 yr old with us . I beleive its adults only in the royal level ? . BUT when booking you will find a child over 12 years old becomes a paying adult on the BARCELO PLAYA BLANCA BOOKING FORM . Have emailed barcelo a few weeks ago but have had no email reply . Maybe as you were at hotel you know of these things above . Last but not least whats the your rating on the restaurant and bar COFFEE please?

I haven't seen ping pong, but I wasn't inside Barcy Club. There might be one. There are tennis courts and multipurpose courts on site. They changed the Royal Level to Adults Only. It is 18+. But in my opinion, it is not much different. In RL, they do a la carte breakfast and have access to one more swimming pool. Yes, according to their website, 14yr is an adult, which means you should book a suite. If you don't want to book a suite, my advice is to check third-party websites (Agoda, Expedia UK, etc. or even travel agencies) and compare the prices and if they count 14 years as children or adults. If you want to call Barcelo, here is the UK number: 020 3727 0251. The coffee was delicious. For breakfast, it is self-service coffee from the machines. And it was nice, too. I mainly went for coffee at Brizze bar, which is outside, next to the pool. If you need any more information, don't hesitate to ask.

There is a table tennis table in the teens club which is on the lower level below the buffet restaurant. It wasn't open when we visited in December but hopefully soon.

I wanted to add that Royal Level is from age 18. We travelled with two teens who we had to book as adults and have two rooms to accommodate 4 of us.

Yes, I completely understand. I had some reservations before I visited, but it turned out to be a very pleasant experience. However, Iberostar looks stunning. I haven't been inside, just walked around, and it is impressive. 🤩
