Silk Veil Fan dance move broken down in slow motion featuring the 4 Beat Weave while holding the fans in "Tip Grip."
Directions:
4 Beat Weave - The first hand leads, the second hand follows.
Tip Grip - Hold the fans by the end of the stave with your thumb and forefinger.

My fans keep closing when i try this😅

They definitely will easily close. I usually have my wrists cocked downward to help keep tension in the fan so it stays open. More practice will also help you understand how the fans move and how to control that opening or closing. Also check: are you spinning in the correct direction to keep the fans open? -try flipping them over if this is an issue, make sure the spine of the fans go first followed by the stave end. Let me know if you are still having issues - this was a lot of info at once. lol

I’m just under 5’2 and the fans I have are 1.8m, am I too short for this? 😂 wondering if I should cut them down

I am 4'11 on a good day! You are not too short for this! If your fans are cheap you can cut them down but learning to flow slower with all that fabric can be very fun too!
