@DTey22 Well, in the creation of the universe and of dinosaurs and Hominids.... religion is sort of a baby. Yoruba is not the oldest religion. Personally, I believe Jesus is to be respected. I believe the Yoruba religion is to be respected. The spirit world and supernatural forces are real. And at play. It's beyond any person's knowing. So I wish people had an open mind, spiritually. And respected one another. There's something to learn from everything and everyone. God wants peace among people. I really admire the Yoruba religion. Through nature there is spirit. All of Life.

God created heaven, earth and the angels. All of this is explained in the bible. Yoruba religion is pagan with many gods who are the fallen angels. There is only one God. Unfortunately the Yoruba religion followed by some of our ancestors are worshipping the fallen angels also known as false gods and goddesses.

At 40 yrs old, im just getting into this and hope to one day become a Iyanifa. Ive ordered $200+ worth of books Baba Ifa Karade and Priestess Efe Mena Aletor. I have always felt that christianity was not my worship path. I never felt comfortable in churches and christians have beat me down emotionally, stole money from me and were just down right rude, hypocritical and two faced to the point of me crying. This is not a dig at christians rather a reflection of what my true spiritual purpose is in this life. I want to learn and practice everything and anything in the yoruba/Ifa spiritual journey because what i have been following due to familial traditions and society isn't and hasn't helped me.

actually this makes alot sense to me... i kind of live like that whithout even being aware of the tradition. it just feels natural to me... i mean most religions are more about power and control then anything else ... they lost the essence ... i think those 4 core principles are the essence and also the reason why its just healthy to choose to live by thees "values". ... being spiritual not religeous... doing the right thing for the greater good not just for personal gain... no need to live on your knees as long you dont put those close to you down. dont be so greedy. there would be enough for all of us... but yo i guess every herd got its black sheep but the european mind is more down whith the devil, the EGO ... false light blindet by there beauty lol .... who are the real Savages? not everything that shines is gold... the devil is a liar. no matter which shade of brown or whatever... positiv giving or Negative taking... balance just some thoughts and thnx for providing theese infos. Im so frustrated. I believe in Jesus, but without religion. And, I also believe in Oshun. I believe theyre both my guides. However, when it comes to people...and all of their authority and explanations...I find that I dont fit in and belong. Infact, im rejected. Which is really hypocritical. So, I wind up being independent and unfortunately remaining disconnected.

God, Creator, The Universe, whatever name you want to give them, I believe that they LOVE to express themselves through multiple avenues and religions, in keeping with their creative and complex nature. All that means is, find what rings true to you. Find what draws you and makes you feel like you belong. If it's not with the people around you, you can find your people. But, whatever you do, do it in your truth. As long as you're not hurting yourself or anyone else, do what you feel CALLED to do no matter what anybody else says. This is the number 1 most important thing you can do for yourself. Everything else will follow. Asé.

He who says Jesus is the one and only and really goes for it will stop to give this name. Same with him who says this about Olorun. Many West Africans are wise and won't say this. They know all real God seakers will reach the same point. I am THERE. I started in an European Church (as mankind at all started in Afrika). When we all meet in God war and greed and fright are over. Don't be dependent from a religious community wich bless weapons.

sorry but no. if your family needs a care home (people who are actually trained in how to do it and who can take care of and understand their every need), they should be there. they have a structure. i don't think i would be very happy for my family to think they meet my needs when they just don't. it's wrong. you're bringing morality and guilt - religious issues - into the fore when they should not be here. you shouldn't do it for a reward either. it is cruel to keep someone at home instead of enabling them to be with professionals who know what they are doing. maybe you're talking about people who are fully alert but just frail, in which case, fine maybe but still, people have to go out to work. where are they going to get the time or money from if they are caring for their elders?

Which god is she talking about? The Bible says thou shall not have no other gods before me. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. [7] If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. John 14:6 -7 The Bible teaches us not to pray to our ancestors and things like that, because when a person dies the Bible says after death, then judgment, so when our ancestors die, they have been judged, and been sent to either heaven or hell if they believed in Jesus Christ they are sent to heaven if they chose not to believe in Jesus, then by their own free will, when they died, God is just sending them where they chose to go. When people worship their ancestors, they call familiar spirits, which is demonic. Demons can impersonate the dead. People try to do séances and things like that to try to figure out what their ancestor had said, or hit something there, conjuring up Demons. Those are demon spirits that they are opening themselves up to, and the demonic realm will come into their life and into their homes and into their children. Sage and crystals, and all these kind of rocks, and all that all those are daemonic those are elements from the earth but we don’t need those things. As a believer in Jesus Christ, when we confess with your mouth and believe in our hearts, the Jesus Christ died, and God raised him on the third day, he said you shall be saved, and your name is written in the lambs book of life. But we continue reading the Bible, and doing what Jesus said to do that is a disciple of Christ, when we received or excepted Jesus Christ into our hearts the same spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead, is the same spirit that lives within his believers. So that means that we have authority, Christ has given us authority over demons, snakes and scorpions, and by that authority we can cast out demons heal the sick, even raise the dead, because God lives within his believers. We don’t need crystals and the elements of the earth because we have the creator who created those things in us. This is just a warning to all those who believe in this type of cult. It is not of Christ.

The words that they say may help you get through life get through hard times, but it’s only temporary the God Jesus Christ, that I serve. His love is eternal, no matter what we go through? He is always there. We can sense and feel his spirit with us, he speaks to us and we speak to him. He guides us with the Holy Spirit. It’s a love that’s unconditional no man no woman can ever bring the type of love that Jesus Christ brings to my life. I hope and pray that you come to know Jesus Christ before it’s too late because he’s coming soon and he’s coming to get his people. What kind of hope do you have with the God that you serve he’s limited to this world . Jesus Christ is eternal he’s forever there’s no end, and there’s no beginning to him. In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God, John 1:1 “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” ‭‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭14‬ ‭

The Bible is YHWH's book, but the question is who is YHWH, really? He claims to be God (the Creator, aka El, aka Olodumare to the Yoruba) but if we read up about him we see that he's El's son, and more like the ancient Hebrew god of thunder and warfare, kinda similar to Shango, incidentally. So I think the next question becomes who are we, and whose gods should we follow? Cuz every people has their own gods (unless they've been thoroughly conquered) and none of that negates the Supreme Authority of the Creator (who goes by various names depending on your mother tongue).
