Hi Recipe for Success Network,
I often get asked: HOW DO I BECOME A PROJECT MANAGER? What does it take to become a project manager? Do I need to go back to school? Do I need certifications? Today, I'm going to share my opinions on which 4 traits I think are needed to become a successful project manager and enjoy the job while doing it!
We'll talk about why these traits are important, how they tie into the job, times when I've used these traits to help me learn how to be a useful pm and why I think these traits are important. We'll talk about curiosity in the work place, empathy and emotional intelligence, tenacity and organization.
Yes, education can help. The same applies to certifications, but in reality having the right attitude and traits for the job is more important in my opinion. You can also learn what you need to learn!

Omgg. I have been working as a business analyst and product owner for so long. Yet i always never really satisfied with my job. Thanks to your video, i realize lots of what i already do well naturally and love to do actually related to project manager position. Hope i will find a project manager job soon! Finger crossed.

Hello Emma, i am IT director in my current job. I have BA and MBA in information system. I am starting to research to get PM certificate but still i don't know if it is the correct certificate for my area of work. Any option or recommendations. Fye great job of the video

Hello! Is getting a PM certification tied to a career goal for you? Or are you looking for more education in this space? Sometimes an introductory course (which is cheaper & provides education) is a good initial option to feel out if you want to pursue a PMI certification.
