I was certified in January. CPC. passed 1st time. hired for a major medical group in my area. I start June 5! so excited to get started😀 I plan on adding my next certification in January 2018 amd keep going from there. This video is a huge help.

One of the managers/RN that I worked with retired early and decided to go into medical coding. She was an inspiration to me as well. She said the same thing that you mentioned that she could still make a good living doing this.

Thanks for your insight into the Medical Billing and Coding Certification. I'm switching careers and decided to add this certificate to my goals. I received a certification as a Claims Adjuster in January 2018-although I'm certified to handle claims, as a newbie, the field is pretty hard to get into unless a storm breaks out. At this point, studying for the CPC certificate would be perfect for me. Thank you again for your time and the free information you've given. This truly helps me to make a decision on which way I want to proceed.

Thanks so much for your channel. You are a very smart lady and very informative. If you have not taken any of these tests believe me its tough...so study your tail off. I failed twice in 2015 on the CPC test. I can say I will go through AHIMA this time but being out of school for 2 years it will be very tough to complete. One thing I can say to any student is to save every book, all your notes, every .pps, .pdf...every video and microphone saves . I mean ...SAVE EVERYTHING. You will never know when you will need it. Don't wait to go to school when your 50. It makes it harder by 10X. Good luck to you all

Finally information that I can utilize while in the process of obtaining my Coding Specialist Certificate. Thank You Subscribed! :-) I am only obtaining my CCS for now. I am happy to hear that I don't need to pursue a 4 year degree to be successful in this career, but maybe in the near future I will consider an Associates or Bachelors after gaining some experience.
