I’m waist length sis and to be honest with you it does get easier to maintain as it gets longer 😊, the routine you have established stays with you always no matter how long your hair gets. But as your hair reaches waist length and beyond you’ll probably want to style with bigger sections to avoid the “burnout” of doing your hair. 😊
@SharatiaBanks

Yea cause the burnout is reallllllll Lol I like the idea of bigger sections. You might be on the something there! But I don’t see the “easier” part yet. When does that start though , cause I’m ready 🤔🤣

@@SharatiaBanks I've been wearing satin headscarves for years. I think the head wrap will make a massive difference as it will cancel out the friction and protect those fragile hairs. They already started growing back in as I treat that area differently to the rest of my hair. I'll let you know how I get on.

I end up cutting 4 inches off. I finally got the guts to cut off the back all over my hair. 4 inches straight, too many split ends and breakage from overputting heat. Had to do it. I understand some people don't want to cut off so much of the hair but I had to but you will see your hair. Feel a lot stronger on your ends when you do so
@SharatiaBanks

you only cut the back? if so how did you style it?cause I feel like the back being so short in comparison to the rest of my head would look awkward especially since I wear plaits instead of cornrows. I kinda wanna let it grow out a lil more so it's not too far off from the rest of my head. ion know, maybe I'll just cut it. it is only the back of my head and I can just have the plaits cover it. idk. what do you think? just cut, huh?

Thanks for the update! I'm a fairly new subscriber. Your hair is very much like mine, fine strands and very easy to break. I had been protective styling in twists, but my 4 textures (3c scattered on the top and sides with 4a-c all over) were not having it because it would get tangled and poofy so easily. I got wind of braiding with my own hair through you and other ladies and it's working well! I only do it a month at a time because yeah, my texture is inconsistent and needs freshening at about a month in. It may get better as I work on nutrition (next step in my hair journey). Thanks again. Your hair is beautiful! I can't wait to reach my own goals! It's just nice to see so many Black women reaching their hair goals now. It really does leave no excuses. My hair is fine as well but I keep mini twists in for three weeks before taking down. I keep my hair moisturized in the meantime. I used to have longer hair, almost bra strap length, but I fell into a deep depression and I didn’t really touch my hair for a year. My hair matted so bad that it was super hard and it took months to detangle. Needless to say I had to cut my hair a bit to even it out because it was clear that the left side suffered more than the right. I went from maybe 14 inches of hair to now eight. I do wonder if plaits will look right on my hair at this point, my hair stops around the very top of my shoulder. I did create a hair oil with fenugreek seeds, Jamaican black caster oil, olive oil, a few drops of walnut oil, MSM powder, and peppermint essential oil and it’s extremely light and easy to use but I’m about to make a hair butter with Shea butter, cloves, rosemary, coconut oil, a little olive oil, amla powder, horsetail, peppermint oil and tea tree oil. I plan to infuse the oil first and then use the oil to make the butter. I actually drink fenugreek water daily and I also take MSM daily as well. The fact that I felt comfortable enough to cut my hair to even it out is signs that my hair is growing already and getting thicker. Thank you for this inspiration! Hair can be fickle but consistency works. I’m going to get the other ingredients you listed and make that oil.

Sure! So, water makes natural hair curl up. And depending on how long the hair was in the style, the products and dirt can build up which causes more tangles with the shed hair. Oil or conditioner creates a slip factor to remove them

One of the characteristics of having fine hair is that it tangles easily. When my hair is cornrowed, no amounts of detangling can stop the tangles while I braid it or unbraid it. Especially after they've been washed?!?! talk about matting!! sheesh lol 3. I can do more styles with plaits than cornrows back 4. I can shampoo, deep condition, and moisturize them better. 5. For me, plaits have less tension on my scalp (Edit) 6. My plaits lasted longer than my cornrows. It was liking bad by week 2. But with the plaits I don’t have to redo for 4-5 weeks. You ain’t lying… I had to put twists in my hair because I had a lot to do and twists are so much faster. But they started to look bad real quick 🤣🥴😭

I think I'm shedding more front hair despite all my hair care routines, oils and protective styles someone help. The hair at my back and middle are doing great but the front is dying. I need a routine that actually works. Please help! 🙏

could it be nutrition or even something as simple as how your wrap your hair at night. when I used to tie my hair I had a knot from the scarf at the same place around my edges and it caused traction alopecia. it grew back once I changed how I wrapped it. do you often pick at the front of your hair? wear a headband, etc?

The Inglewood thing: population is growing, but available land is finite. The only way to reduce this absurd inflation is to do away with strict zoning and tax property vacancies.

Stand with your back to a bathroom mirror. Use a handheld or a standing mirror in front you to see the back (mirror)

If you have a tripod for your iPhone, you can put the camera on selfie mode and put it behind you so you can see the back of your head. I do this since I don’t have a mirror
