Tonkotsu ramen is usually the ramen we are most familiar with but, ramen comes in different and unique form. In this episode we take you on a Japanese Sydney Food Tour for some of the best ramen to try.
There are so many different Japanese restaurant in Sydney but these are our favourites and ones you must try this year.

My favorite is yuzu ramen! Yuzu gives the ramen the perfect fresh edge, I guess it's similar to the Tsukemen that Nick had with some lemon ;)

Hey Nick and Helmi!! Great to see you try these Ramen spots in Sydney! The first place Ra Ra Ramen looked really good, and $12.15 was not a bad price. We love garlic.. looks so creamy and yummy!! That's awesome they had a vegan option as well with a white broth. We would love that one! So healthy!

The last spot looked awesome with that dipping ramen. The soup looked so rich in flavor, and love that you can dip the noodles as much as you want! We like lemon juice on a lot of things as well. We bet it added a nice touch! 12 hours to make that broth!! You know the flavor was amazing!! Great video and thanks for bringing us with you!! Love you guys to the mother effin' moon!!

The 3rd stop for Dry Ramen.. looked really good, and love that you can put vinegar and chili on top to make your own sauce. We have never tried Dry Ramen before.. We would have to check it out if we ever see a spot!

Mmmmm tonkatsu ramen. Had some of that last night from a very authentic spot hahaha. You guys have some very authentic offerings over there in Sydney. I think the wagyu one looked the best but a nice chili soaked ramen is always yummy too 🤤🤔 I'm not a massive fan of zukamen but maybe needa try the one you had in Tokyo 😁👍

Ichiran Ramen also does a vegan version of their trademark tonkotsu ramen. I haven’t tried it yet though. That oxtail ramen looks absolutely delish!

Damn, I've really gotta get out and eat more ramen - haven't checked out any of these places except for Zundo. In particular the mazesoba looks pretty unique! PS - holy cow that oxtail ramen has loads of coriander! Should take some for your pork roll next time 🤣

Thanks Richard. Honestly never try saimin before but it looks like clear broth compared to laksa. Laksa use coconut milk so quite heavy taste. Love to find Hawaiian food here in Sydney now 😊👌🏻

The first shop seems amazing! It has nice interior, I like the industrial/minimal aesthetic! The vegan ramen sounds good, so far I didn't have luck with vegan ones, they tend to taste quite bland ^^; Ramen with coriander? Interesting Spanish influence! And ... I also can't slurp the noodles properly ... tbh I can't even eat them without leaving a mess on my pullover 🙈I usually don't go for Tsukemen, but after seeing the last shop I'm very tempted ^^ Greetings from Seoul!!

Don't worry Helmi.. we can't slurp the noodles in either.. Every time we have tried.. we choke LOLOL!! So that must be a special skill that only some people learn. LOLOL!!! The second place with the Oxtail ramen.. Wow.. we couldn't believe how huge it was! Loved all the coriander leaves they put on top. One of our favorite herbs!! That was a lot of meat for the price $13.52.. that's not bad at all!!

Rara is pretty decent! I hope the prices are cheaper though but it definitely has good vibes there. The vegan ramen actually looks good too, "oil is good for your health right" hahaha I cracked up there lol. I might give that a go next time! But where's Gumshara manggg?!?? But I know this is based on personal preference - either you love it or you hate it, what's your opinion on this? 😂😂
