Islamabad, Pakistan ➖Mountain life really does get the best of you. I ended up with a thick, messy beard that needed to go! Luckily right outside of my accommodation, there was a local man doing street shaves!
I went looking for him, but much to my surprise he was not there! But a few days later, there he was with his sidekick pampering him to a nice leg massage. After a bit of discussion, I found my self in the barber chair getting a shave and massage for 500rs.

He was telling his apprentice to put a new blade in that shaving equipment and also wash equipment with Detol(disinfectant). Plus, he also put detol in water that he applied to your face for shave. He really took care of you.

I think Luke knows very well what he should and should not do. He came to Pakistan to get the full experience and wants to show every side of it. He could definitely go to a big salon, get a nice treatment and pay a much higher price. He well knew what he was getting himself into. I think that Chacha was very honest with his service and wanted to make Luke happy. He had a clean station with new blades and Dettol to sanitize the equipments. Poor man is doing honest work and there's nothing wrong with overpaying a little.

150 shave + 150 hair cut + 200 massage total 500 Rs is cheap rate not expensive he is sitting F-7 islamabad most expensive area is Pakistan if he go depilex or razor and season F-7 it just cost you 5000 rs so u save 4500 rs 😉

Obviously, 150 rupees for the shave and the extra 350 he charged for the "Ambience". which includes an outdoor facility in fresh air under the tree. you may call it an "Eco-friendly" shave. :)

No guys he didn't scammed him. Actually Its a bit more expensive to have a shave in an air conditioned saloon in isb. Normally fancy saloons charge you around Rs300 for shave only.

Phatkari is called Alum in English, it is used as after shave to save from wounds. Generally, an alum block is used after shaving to soothe the skin, prevent the spread of bacteria, and reduce bleeding associated with minor nicks and cuts. It can also be used to prevent some of the more annoying side effects of shaving, such as razor burn and ingrown hairs. An alum block is a mineral block made of potassium alum, a compound that has antiseptic and astringent properties.

Luke your shave takes me way back to Nepal and India getting a shave, not too bothered by the hygiene of the joint. But yes the best part of the shave was the massage. And that little rcommercialthatthink it time for an alu paratha! Washing it down with any Pakistani soft drink. Hold the lassi .

@@bangedmybro hear it for yourself. He asked his student to change the blade and clean it with detol and the student told that its done. He even changed the blade for the 2nd time when he shaved his neck.
