I know that some people will likely take issue with the fact that price differences between each dish aren’t necessarily ‘drastic’ anymore, but I actually like this new concept more. The fact that all of these dishes are affordable helps expose an entirely new audience to types of dishes and cuisines that they previously may not have tried, as opposed to a super expensive dish simply having gold or caviar on it without adding to its actual appeal

I kinda want to live vicariously and see the true differences between a super expensive dish that we can't afford vs the cheapest. Not a fan of the format where they're just reviewing 3 different restaurants. How do we even know the $19 pork dish is representative of the best that's out there. I'm sure there's plenty of restaurants that serve $19 pork dishes out there that's better than what they reviewed in this episode
@inotanzen
@inotanzen Жыл бұрын
@@Yang1 The most expensive options were rarely ever the best option though. More often than not it was just mid price point quality (which was still amazing), just with some gold flakes and truffle sprinkled on top. I was kind of getting sick of it tbh so I think this is a refreshing take! They may move back towards high roller dishes for the expensive option once the season gets rolling again and they start getting their funding/budget back though, which is an important factor to consider.

What most people don't know is that Mr. Kingsford actually worked for Henry Ford who had tons of charcoal left over after the production of his model T cars. Mr. Kingsford saw it's potential and Henry Ford let him have the charcoal as it was usually waste, and now we have Kingsford charcoal as a household name. Much love and keep on keepin on J.
