The quintessential Adirondack canoe route, Long Lake to Tupper Lake via the Raquette River. 45 beautiful miles of wilderness paddling and fishing with some of my favorite people, Stephanie and Zeke! The fishing was hot this time (for some of us) and the Smallmouth Bass and Northern Pike were practically jumping into the boat at certain points! Summer 2023.

That smallmouth at 19:40 was a beauty! And what a Northern! Glad y'all had such good fishing on the Raquette, and to see Stephanie with a head net so she doesn't get eaten alive by blackflies again. I felt so sorry for her all swollen and feeling bad. I hope she recovered quickly. Wow! Y'all really eat good on your trips. Love those s'mores!

I still cannot believe how bad she got nailed by those flies! Definitely going to be better prepared this spring.

Jay, that's wild. I camped at the falls 1st week of October and a small buck was hanging around. Probably the same deer. Hope the little guy made it through deer season.

I don't think that area gets a TON of hunting pressure, so we might see him this year!

I was worried about that bridge on a day trip up there last year too. I think it was a touch lower when we were there, but we were also in kayaks. The ice fishing season has been terrible this year, so I'm dreaming of summer trips like this already.

I did okay on the ice fishing this year. We got into a few good Lake Trout, but definitely not as much time on the ice as I had hoped. I also cannot wait to be back doing this!

That was a great trip. Next year you and Stephanie should do it alone 🤣

The ski slope you saw I believe was big tupper. It hasn't been opened in years. The raquette river is my favorite river to kayak. So I love your raquette river videos!

I think what you saw was me extinguishing the tip of one and then throwing it in the bottom of my boat. They never go in the water or on land. They all go either in the camp garbage or in the fire when it's burning.
