4 Reasons I Packed Out this TV Circuit Board found while Metal Detecting in the Forest

Күн бұрынI run across many things associated with my metal detecting hobby including discarded junk. On this last hunt I stumbled upon a shot up television deep in the forest. It's anyones guess how it got there but I put the circuit board from the TV in my pack and brought it back. I had 4 good reasons for doing so:
1) Human made trash does not belong in the forest.
2) This item can be scrapped and recycled as a low grade board. The savings in energy and primary ore are substantial. This especially applies to aluminum.
3) Metal has intrinsic value and can be sold for cash. It can be sold as is or the value can be enhanced by depopulating the board as I explore the joys of micro-scrapping.
4) This isn't work. Every aspect of finding, depopulating and cashing in is gratifying and a heck of a lot of fun. It's a win-win for all!

A leaky capacitor or battery is also terrible for the soil/groundwater !

what about aluminum windows ,requires 80% good aluminum refined with 20% aluminum frames,to get pure alum, relative

Great video! I learned a lot, really tragic that such a beautiful country is being destroyed for disposable garbage. Also, although it really helps your video and is quite funny, creating AI images uses a lot more energy than finding one that already exists "Research suggests that creating a single AI image can consume anywhere from 0.01 to 0.29 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of energy. That's like running your refrigerator for up to half an hour, depending on its size and efficiency." I wish we didn't live in a coal and oil dependant society, as a lot of technological potential would be much more ethical
