Planning more time than we would usually do is an advice that I really like! That was awesome. I've been struggling in my productivity as a freelancer with the tasks piling up. What really helps me is to hear that it's normal to have ups and downs. When I see people doing KZfaq, running a business and having a life it feels like I'm falling behind. The truth is most likely different where, things take a long time and I'm only seeing the end product. Appreciate the perspective man!

Extremely helpful as always. However, I would like to add one more bonus point that I have personally found helpful. Every time you finish a daunting task or a project, add a plan and schedule time to reward yourself. This really helps to form a positive feedback loop and also avoid burnouts. The bigger the task, the bigger the reward. Would love to hear your thoughts on it.

Matt, I hope you see this and it makes you feel good about yourself. Thanks for making 'productivity' / 'self help' videos because you are better at it than the billions of other channels doing the same. I'm ADHD, and being productive as a neurological different person, requires specific and different means of creativity to address. I lack sense of urgency, literally devoid of it, I'm 23 years old and now I'm only slightly better able to artificially engage myself for a future of not wanting to die with imitational urgency. Your tips especially in this video are different, and somehow you manage to help 3 million subscribers and share ideas that pertain to the handicaps suffered by ADD people. Things such as rapid task switching. Catastrophising but also enabling the build up of guilt and anxiety, and how to address whatever issues and crimes against productivity in a way that favours immediate needs that contributes towards the future, rather than guilt tripping a doomed future for this reason or that. It's why most people who impart advice for me can never truly manage to lay it down because its founded upon that sense of urgency and unfortunately a percentage of us are just attentively deficient idiots with no sense of urgency just fear and self loathing in our prison cell/bedrooms (just kidding some of us are cool). So thank you, thank you for (inadvertantly) helping the struggles of the mentally different. Cheers from the UK - 23 year old successful (so far) retail entrepreneur and hopelessly failing guilt ridden undergrad of immigrant parents :)

Matt, didn't you hear? We're over the whole "productivity" spell. We've realized that "productivity" is a modern "ideal" invented by capitalism, to brainwash us to base our worth on how "productive" we are - in terms of creating an infinite stream of crap, instead of being productive in enjoying our life, and spending time with friends and family. "Productivity" only leads to constant feelings of being insufficient, and then we die. But thank you for ditching the clickbait 🙏
