haha the youtuber Danny Gonazlez has also called his community "Greg" Great video! The "aww he's here" types are more subtle as adults.

I feel like with toxic friends its so hard to spot signs when youre close to them bc u dont want to admit it. Im also so bad at confrontation so my tactic is just retreating slowly from the friendship. But honestly best thing we can do is learn from bad friendships and recognise these signs

This video really hit hard bro. I've been in groups when they've been nasty to certain people and excluded them etc and I've been the bystander there watching it happen. I felt bad for the kid but didnt do anything about it at the time. Its hard when there are people who are against you in life but just keep going and dont listen. I've been following your channel for a while and you have some quality advice bro. Keep going!

When you're younger, you just want to be around everyone and have a huge circle of friends. When you get older, you realize only a few are actually worth keeping around. Great video, mate. Glad you're doing much better than you were in those days way back when. As a sidenote, I bet it was fun to edit all those bleeps in 🤣

All of these signs resonate with my best mate. We met in high school and started bonding over star wars. Almost ten years on we are still best mates. He was there for me when i was going through a dark time. And funnily enough when we meet up every now and then if I do something that he doesn't agree with he straight up tells me to my face and i do the same to him. Everything in this video i resonate with 👍

The one I disagree with is the insults in a group one. This alone does not necessarily mean the person is not a friend as male groups often have friendly ribbing going on (if they are saying horrible mean things that aren't in a joking manner then it's clear they aren't your friends, but say it's about some jokes about your height, weight, mustache, haircut, accent, etc, etc, etc it doesn't automatically amount to much, but say you were thinking about unaliving yourself and they then said something like maybe that would be a good thing then you know they are a piece of crap and clearly not a good friend! One data point isn't usually enough to know for sure. I personally have ribbed friends and been ribbed before and that alone didn't determine the strength of the friendship. Since you are on the spectrum it's probably harder for you to tell, so I would talk to an individual person in the group (that seems trustworthy) later on and ask "were they being sarcastic" or "was that joke cruel just to be cruel". Then also maybe later do tests like ask them if they would help you work on a project, or maybe help you move as actions are far greater determining factors to know than words.

What does it mean to be actually there for someone? How can I get better at that?

You can never truly fix someone's problems but at least a supporting message when someone's going through a rough time. Also meeting up with them aswell shows them that they are not alone. Just some examples😃

@@JClaytonUK awesome examples! I also reckon conversations beyond recreation and about problem solving/emotion is important for the boys.
