Our educational system doesn't teach critical thinking, kindness, unconditional love, that all humans are the same... one human race. I read that in China, the first two years of a child's education is how to be kind. Imagine, if America taught love, compassion, sharing, giving, self healing, healing the planet... Now, that would be a great world!

Some people have a philosophy that if they don't say it hard enough then a person won't learn. But as Dale Carnegie said, you might get what you want by twisting people's arm, but it will only create resentment. Robin Sharma is right: "You can say whatever you want as long as you say it with respect".

This is so true! This is the key in the business I'm working in. If you're talking, you're not listening. We problem solvers and to know the problem, we need to listen. Brilliant! Thank you Robin! :)

Honestly, there are points at which you need to assess when to and when not to bring up an issue though. Sometimes I hold back on small issues like little facts that arent worth correcting people in an anal way, like "hey did you see that green truck?"... "It was actually blue." or something like that, little facts etc, I find not worth opening up about because not everyone is mature enough to handle those criticisms or not everyone is mutually understanding, so it's good to assess when its good to actually bring it up. Hope this makes sense. Sometimes its simply not worth it, even if you are respectful, some people arent as conscious as you and then they respond negatively, which you can be patient about, but then you've just made things unecesarily difficult over small talk, as the example.

Lawrence Abbott I totally agree lol for me and my tribe its better for us to just begin our meal and they'll make their apology when they get there... sometimes in our busy lives things get in the way...just go with the flow. I prefer to not let expectations that are not met get me worked up...who cares... they're late oh well...moving forward...

Exactly. I guess it's like with proverbs ; they are to be taken with a pinch of salt. Ultimately, we have to be critical and adapt.

Robin, This is important and extremely helpful for me. Today, I made a tough decision to really share my truth with someone at work. It was tough. I learned so much though about being brave enough to have a tough conversation. I couldn't hold it in any longer. I had to be honest. I listened as well. I held myself accountable too. I honored the interaction. So watching your video just truly validates the importance of listening. Thank you!

I feel so bad I didn't stand up for myself when someone at the gym disrespect my space at the gym, twice almost injuring me, walking on top of my training log and even topping over my drink without a care or an apology. I just moved away from him, I know if I had spoken up, other people would've had my back because he was clearly in the wrong. The responsible staff member apologised to me and said he was trying to control the situation. I'm not going to give my power away if it happens again. No more. I'm worthy of respect as I respect others too. Thank you Robin, I'm so grateful I've found you, and have been listening to your talks and it's very inspiring. Thank you again.
