I will be having two weddings because my fiancé is from Italy and I'm from Arizona. At both weddings our friend will be the interpreter. I'm also Chinese and I plan to do the tea ceremony at least at one of the weddings, probably here in AZ, and we will dance the tarantella in Italy :)

Saw your collaborations with Jamie. Now i have so many more videos are binge on. Lol... Thanks for addressing this topic! I wish it's more talked about. We will have English, Chinese and Japanese speaking guests... We are still trying to figure it out.

How about Trilingual wedding ? I know it's a bit special but my partner is Czech and I am French, we both speak English with one and other as we live in New-Zealand. My family and some of my friends speaks and understand a bit of english but his family doesn't ... We are starting to plan our wedding and we are really struggling with choosing between hiring translators and who to manage to have a good time with our family and friends without having "groups" not really talking together ... Any tips ?

For that, it's definitely going to be more difficult, but I think if you incorporate Czech and French traditions, foods, music, etc. it will feel like both nationalities are represented. Your seating chart might be the hardest part, but the most important. Guests will spend most of the evening at their table unless dancing, so I would make sure that if you are mixing any Czech guests with French guests, that there is at least one person at that table who can speak both languages or at least English if the other guests know it :) I hope that helps!!

@@cavinelizabeth Thank you for that ! I like the idea of mixing the food and traditions for the ceremony and dinning. Indeed, the seating chart is gonna be very hard to decide, but thanks for the advice, I haven't though about having at least one guest who can translate at each table that's awesome !

Floriane Caillot omg! What a coincidence! We live in New Zealand too! My part of the family understands Vietnamese or German or Russian and his part understands German or English. However, there is not 1 language that every one understands and it‘s driving me crazy...

For representing the cultures with different foods would caterers or venues allow multiple caterers? Or is the catering for cockatil hour usually different? I was contemplating the brunch wedding because i feel like all three cultures (American and two Latin American countries) have amazing breakfast/brunch foods😅 but I feel like catering for that could get complicated. Thank you for those other great ideas!

If the venue does the catering, they are only going to offer so much. If a venue allows outside catering, that is usually more flexible with a variety of foods.

Any ideas on multilingual wedding websites? I am so surprised that with so many multicultural weddings that I can't find a website that has both English and Spanish for guests to RSVP.

I think it would be on the couple to type both English and the other language. I wouldn't necessarily trust things that auto-translate as important details could get lost.
