I'm homeless and my dad just passed and left everything to his girlfriend and her grandson. So I didn't even get the house which I'm on the deed too

Good luck. I got put on academic probation after my brother committed suicide and I had to travel 2000 miles to the funeral and ended up getting dropped from all my classes. I filed an appeal and was told that as long as I had a death certificate to prove my story I'd be able to register again the next semester but that was not true. It looks two years for me to regain eligibility for financial aid after that and then to be able to sign up for classes again. Be careful with your appeal and good luck.

Is FAFSA still running behind? We waiting for a SAR report it's been three weeks. It's holding up grants and scholarships applications submission.

It was recently announced that FAFSA won't be processing applications until early March. Scholarship organizations will have to adapt and request other documentation.
