the guy in the first story left the lake as soon as he saw a potential threat of the man, proceeded to stay aware of his surroundings, didnt open the door when he had a bad feeling, had a weapon near himself when his life was at risk and made his presence agressive, made reports to proper authority, spent the next days continuing to stay precautious. smart choice after smart choice lead him to the best case scenario unlike a lot of other people in these stories. be like THAT man

He did screw up one thing though… that guy broke in his house to eliminate a witness. Now a man that’s probably never been caught will do something shady again in the future.

He also talked a gang a ish instead of keeping a low profile.. he could have reported that and kept his head down. Instead he put a target on his back. Cops and a firearm won't always save you especially when he's displayed hesitation in using his weapon.

Not gonna lie - that second story might be the most well-written of any story that Mr. Nightmare ever featured --- It uses constant descriptors like those that poets use, like 'You could feel yourself cutting through the fog' and 'We turned out our lights and the darkness became even thicker than the fog itself.' Whoever wrote this should be a professional writer, if at least part-time (not saying the story was false - I just mean the storytelling uses immaculate pros).

The most terrifying thing that ever happened to me was pretty ordinary but it scared the hell out of me when I was little & my dad & some of his buddies were ocean fishing on a boat around Mulege in Mexico. This huge hammerhead shark swam up out of nowhere to check out the boat and then just silently went back down into the water. I was maybe six at the time & it gave me nightmares. To this day, my dad will tease me about it because he said it was only about eight feet long but that's big enough. That's when I knew I'd never go scuba diving in the ocean.

@@PunmasterSTP I mean, I know shark attacks are relatively rare compared to accidental drownings due to undertows or rogue currents but seeing that as a little kid left a definite impression on me. That's fear but as long as I stay out of the ocean & the sharks don't come up on land, everything's cool.

@@ashleybrooke2087 Having "respect" for nature is knowing that some of these animals can be dangerous, so it's pretty close to fear.. The amount of people willing to bumble around by themselves in the middle of nowhere unarmed never ceases to amaze me. Even the first guy who actually owned a gun, left it at home when he was out in the middle of nowhere by himself and just kept it in his closet most of the time. You can't fix stupid.

Dear mr. Nightmare I watch your videos and learn from each one. I take them so seriously that once when I was a child and I was home alone, I refused to open the door after the doorbell rang atleast 10 times. Then just to see, I opened the main door leaving the screen door locked and saw a huge man looking the other way at the road. I closed the door really fast and called my dad who lived upstairs. He csme down and I died on the inside when I opened it for him. Turns out it was my uncle with a different haircut 😅😅

For anyone interested- my personal fishing horror story: So I’m writing this in June, this happened April 9th of the same year. I’ve always liked to fish a pond back in the woods of a small nature area and relatively close to a dog park. Rarely see other people back there but when I do they’re always other fisherman or dog walkers. When I got to the spot that day I saw across the lake a small blue tent like shelter that was set up. It is impossible to get to the other side without swimming over or walking through some really thick forest, so this was a bit strange. The other side of the lake sits higher than the fishing access side, so I was looking up at the shelter, and decided to go to the corner of the lake to get as close as possible. I was about 50 yards away. Soon after, a man in a rain jacket and boots comes down the hill and through the trees and walks into the shelter. I think this seems pretty normal, just a poor or homeless man, or even a camper who was just breaking the rules for a night. However, about 10 minutes later a shirtless man emerged from the shelter running down the bank, looking completely different from the man who walked into the shelter. It had to be the same man tho, because the shelter was pretty open and I didn’t hear or see anyone else in there, except for a few times I heard some faint laughing that nearly sounded like a girl or child. Another thing that seemed off, and didn’t fit. But anyway, the man was running on all 4’s, practically scampering through the trees like he was chasing something. Looked very animalistic. I had a very uneasy feeling at this point and stopped fishing to just watch. As he stopped and seemed to catch up to whatever he was chasing, I heard a guttural scream that sounded like someone being attacked. The thing tho, is I couldn’t tell if there was a second person. Could this whole entire thing have been one guy? Was it just some lunatic on drugs? Or did a man living off the grid just hunt down human prey he saw walking next to the lake? Regardless after the scream I packed up and left before risking him noticing me across the lake. I called the police shortly after getting to my car. I went back about two weeks later to see if anything remained, but the trees were far too thick and green now at this point in the year to tell if the shelter was still there. No contact back from the cops, no idea if it’s still there, and no clue what it was. Still so pissed I didn’t start recording that day, never felt a feeling in my gut quite like that one.

It truly brings these stories to life, much like a bonfire experience while out camping. Thank you for your hard work and effort, it really does show. Is it just me, or does the second story sound like a AI wrote it? I have used lots of AI story generators, and they all write stories in a similar way. For example the word choice of 'hissed', with the AI bots I have used, the word hissed is commonly used, and just the way this 'giangrande' person writes, seems kind of unusual. Also the comment "the joker of the group" in prompts you can describe what you want the story to be about, and who is going to be in it, and give attributes and characteristics to said characters, and I remember in a prompt added that a character was constantly scheming, and guess what the AI gave "the schemer of group" when it was talking about him. Also when a AI talks about characters it usually lists them off, in order of where you put them in the prompt, and I feel like you can sort of tell that with the 2nd story, as well as that the narrative flow just seems off, For example the writer has this sort of drawn out intro, and talks about how his family are big fishers, and how he is going to be the next one, and trails off and says that the story has nothing to do with him, but it is about his dad, and then talks about how this his dad is not easily scared but this scares him. And this writer seems to be completely confident about how much he remembers. He never warns him that he may misremember something. Although maybe that's just me. If you do end reading this comment, first of all, no hate to Mr. Nightmare, he is just doing his job, and makes fantastic videos which I enjoy, all I am saying is that this feels AI generated, so please let me know if you agree or disagree, feedback would be greatly appreciated.
